Hysterical!
“The guns that he sold included a .22 zip-gun style rifle as well as a 12-gauge grappling hook gun.”

You’re right.
About 20 years ago there was a buy back program in Denver which the local news stations covered. A man came out of the auditorium and a reporter asked him what he had turned in and what was he going to do with the money. He said “I turned in four crappy old guns and now I’m going to take the money and buy a decent pistol”. It was live so they couldn’t cut it out. Lol.

No one ever collects these statistics, but you have to wonder out of all the weapons held in the US, in private ownership....what amount are rusted or crapped-out. I bet it’s near 10-percent.

How much for a grease gun?
No, I meant a real grease gun.
I have an old caulk gun with a broken spring. How much could I get for that?

I think my wife has a glue gun AND a staple gun, somewhere in her hobby closet.
Now if only I can find them, I’ll be able to purchase that new Glock I’ve had my eye on...

Two weeks ago, I sold two firearms to the =City of Baltimore in a similar deal.
One was a cheap .380 I bought new for $110. It was irreparably broken. The other was a 16 gauge Champion (JC Penney) brand shotgun I got at a garage sale for $35.
The City paid me $300 for them. Most of the people selling their guns were older folks with either late husband guns or rusty junk. Several, like me planned to use the windfall to buy more guns.
In my case, I invested in lead futures.

Sounds like something that you would use in 'Fallout'.
