I think they are even slow rolling the red pill to us. Mr. Trump has commented on foreign aid which was gratifying. Like you, I’ve thought we should give money to those who help not hate us. Basically we’ve known it’s largely a scam. Now Q is telling us it’s a TOTAL scam, which is why we keep sending money year after year and nothing ever changes in the countries we send it to.

One of the key passages of the Bible, presaging Christ, is Genesis 3:15, where the LORD promises the eventual crushing of Satan by Christ.
Genesis 3:15--And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
The promise about the seed was reiterated to Abraham, and its significance confirmed by Paul.
Galatians 3:16--The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.
Paul made the meaning of the promise (dating from Genesis) even more explicit in Romans.
Romans 16:20--The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
It all starts with Genesis 3:15.

I’ve always figured that the money that even gets to the countries mostly (if not all) goes into the pockets of the various corrupt elites in country.
If any goes to help any actual poor people, I’d be so surprised my hair would stand on end.

I dunno, but Trust has died here.. between slow walking NeverTrump McConnell and his cronies and Ronda Romney at the GOP, it’s hard not to actually prefer the GOP. These guys all sit on gabillions to give to each other, through the NRSC and the GOP, in election years.
This is why the RINOS are entrenched. Personally, we give to the good ones alone, and mostly to good insurgents where we can find them.
It’s just too risky to give and let the Party orgs block all new comer candidates just to keep the Republican Establishment in their seats.

The partial government shutdown glided into its third week Saturday with no end in sight.
If the government is not reopened before February, millions of Americans who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) -- the nation's food stamp program -- could have their assistance disrupted.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees SNAP at the federal level, is one of the agencies unfunded during the partial government shutdown.
Although SNAP is automatically renewed, it has not been allocated funding from Congress beyond January. Congress has appropriated $3 billion in emergency funds for SNAP distribution, but that would not cover all of February's obligations.
In September 2018, the last month for which data is available, $4.7 billion in SNAP benefits were disbursed throughout every state. If the shutdown continues through March, there will be no remaining funding for SNAP, endangering food security for millions of Americans.
