After canceling a planned Christmas trip amid the ongoing government shutdown to stay at the White House with her husband, First Lady Melania Trump left Washington, D.C., to enjoy New Year’s Eve at the family’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
Mrs. Trump posed for photos with various other revelers, including Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt and Paolo Zampolli, the United Nations ambassador of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
The first lady made the trip to Palm Beach without President Donald Trump, who remained in D.C. as the government shutdown approaches its third week. She previously canceled her Christmas plans at Mar-a-Lago to return to the White House, where she and the president made a surprise overnight trip to visit troops in Iraq the day after Christmas...

Our Melania does get very subtle and beautifully done highlights. Quite flattering, particularly as time goes by.
Our lovely First Lady’s true class was on full display when she arranged to have former WH staffers who were not of high rank attend H W Bush’s funeral. So compassionate and thoughtful. I suspect that’s typical for our beautiful Melania.

It is basic supply and demand. Since the demand has grown, the price is raised to limit the supply of tickets. Having said that, I doubt that even $1,000 is a financial hardship for most, if any, of the members of the club. Non-story.

Back when I was a ‘Mover & A Shaker’ in Capital City, I used to attend annual events that were $500-$1K a head; pretty party dresses, fur coats, the ‘good’ jewels, high heals, etc.
They were pretty spectacular, though I’m glad that was only a small *Blip* in my life. ;)
