Every absent butt costs the district aid money. This isn’t about kids getting an education. It’s about putting butts in seats to get state aid.

My neighbors youngest daughter was a sickly child in kindergarten. She had doctors notes for all but two absences and was under the level of absences that they call "truant".
She was also under six years of age and legally she could not be truant.
The school wrote a letter to her parents threatening them with jail time and the loss of custody of all three of their children.
They sent the "School Resource Officer" (a deputy sheriff) out to harass them during the summer when school was out.
Based on that they decided not to enroll her in first grade in that school system and send her to a private school.
The SRO went and had a warrant sworn out against them saying their daughter was truant. They then sent in the CPS who demanded that they produce their daughter as she was considered a "child in danger".
They met with the CPS at their daughter's new school, went to court and was told the case against them was dismissed.
A year later she was stopped for a traffic ticket and was told there was a warrant out on her. They got a lawyer, the CPS once again was demanding they produce their daughter for a "wellness check".
It finally stopped when they got a lawyer that promised to sue the school system and the sheriff's department if they did not go away and quit harassing this family.
The public school systems are out of control and should be shut down.

Mother needs to be arrested for educational neglect. She sounds like her kid missing major parts of school courses is perfectly OK. Why can’t her son get a school bus to take him to school, if getting there is a problem? She is probably a disheveled piece of trash.

A do-nothing coward’s way out by just shutting the schools down. If there is to be change in schools it needs to start with getting the right people in the right places. It took the demonRats years to do this. And yes if we use the same tactics the demonRats did we too can impact schools for the better but the cowardly thing to do is just shut it down. This would be akin to doing nothing.
Conservatives never want to get involved, they just like to complain.

Yes, I do feel like got suckered into reading this. Not nearly enough information for a meaningful opinion. That said, we are not citizens; we are revenue sources and that is the way school administrators view any child.
It would be like trying to "fix" the UN.
It is a sniveling weakling cowering in their chains who thinks that it can be fixed and if we just got the "right" kind of people to boss us around everything would be ok.
Government schools are evil.
The very concept of public schooling is wrong so there is no way to “fix” it.

There is a lot...and I mean A LOT wrong with public education. I know because I’m in it. I’ve thought many times that things would be much better if many public schools simply didn’t exist.
That being said, there is no way public schools are going away. An extinction event or something similar would have to occur. I’ve often thought if simply quitting and going back to the private sector (and someday I may have to), but then I have one thought that keeps coming back to me: I’m not surrenduring these kids to the Left-wing nutcases that work all around me. I’m simply not doing it. And if all these Leftards that I work with can earn high salaries for spreading their Leftism, why can’t I use the same racket to pay me to counter their BS?

Send a case worker to the kids home to talk to the parents and hear the larwnts out. and then consider the kid may be in a troubled home and may need to be placed with foster care.
She better not send the kid to school when he has the flu, or chickenpox, or the measles or any other contagious illness. How is he supposed to school when he is in the hospital?

I am reminded of something funny. My oldest son started Kindergarten in Germany when my husband was stationed there. We lived on the economy in a little town about 10 miles from the post where my husband was stationed. The wife of one of my husband's fellow soldiers, told us about their little son who was in my son's kindergarten class. Instead of getting out of the school bus, he smiled and waved at her when the bus stopped.
Wow, that is ridiculous what they went through.
