Went in for a pneumonia shot and landed up here with fluid in my bicep, he captioned a photo of him lying in a hospital bed.Talk about a vast reservoir of fluid.

“The former 67 year old action star.”
He was formerly a 67 year old action star. Now we don’t know what’s going on with him - except he got a bad pneumonia shot.

You don’t want to make him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry

I had a bad reaction last year when I got a flu shot in one arm and a pneumonia shot in the other arm on the same day. One of the shots caused my arm to get really sore. Later that night (or the next night, I don't remember), I came down with an accelerated case of the flu. I woke up freezing, and my wife had to get an extra quilt for me. As she was tucking it around me, she inadvertently touched my right arm and I screamed in pain. The sore arm had become so sore I could not bear even the slightest touch to it. I wonder if it was the same type of problem Lou had?
My accelerated Flu only lasted about 2 days. It took a good week for the arm pain to go away.

Did he turn 68, or is he dead?
To: Red Badger
make sure they not only swab the spot correctly but that you watch the needle come out of the packageThat makes it sound like some street druggy gave him the shot.

My doctor wouldn’t give me the flu shot and pneumonia shot at the same time. She said if I had a reaction, we wouldn’t know which one caused it. I love my doctor!

The former 67-year-old action star Seriously? I guess technically he was formerly 67 years old right after the second he turned 67...but it's not hard to type "The 67 year old former action star."

Yeah, I don’t remember when he was a 67 year old action star. What is he now?
To: Red Badger
Maybe he just needs to drop in a new engine.

Talk about a vast reservoir of fluid. Yeah, this story is strange. One would think the small amount in a syringe would be absorbed by the body.

I used to be a 67 year old astronaut. Now I’m a 62 year old couch potato.

I wish Lou the best during his recovery. Vaccinations are a mandatory gamble many people must take.
I don’t envy his Medical Assistant or Nurse though.
I hear Lou can be very demanding and argumentative. Often about little things. Some of that edginess may have to do with his hearing problems. I think he still wears a Hearing Aid.
Lou visits the Comic Conventions and will sign Comic Books for a fee. He does not like being photographed for free by someone just walking around and not paying for it. Lou will send one of his people after you for a few bucks. I don’t know. Maybe most big names at those conventions are just as protective of their image.

I love my doctor!Yep, looking back, it was a mistake to do both. I have a flu shot every year and have never had a problem (I last had one in mid November). That pneumonia shot last year was my first one of those. I wonder if the problem was caused by a combination of both?

Yeah, sounds like they suspect an unclean injection site or a reused needle.

Often I react to prescriptions and vaccines.
I have MS, and MS and vaccines sometimes don’t get along too well, and can cause all kinds of issues.
But as to the fluid (I pulled this off a medical page you can google the term and find much more.) Angioedema is the reaction he seemed to have.
What is a angioedema?
Angioedema is a swelling of the area beneath the skin, similar to urticaria, or hives. However, urticaria affects only the upper dermis, or top layer of skin. Angioedema affects the deeper layers, including the dermis, subcutaneous tissue, the mucosa, and submucosal tissues.
