My main objection is that Rathbone was black and white. SO much enjoying the new color versions.
That being the case, when an actor studies and assumes the role, they have to determine which "Holmes" they are going to try to be. Brett pulled it off as well as anybody, but it did push him to the edge.
I don’t think I can name one story. I like almost all of them for different reasons. If I had to pick a favorite I would go with these 2: A Scandal in Bohemia. The Red-Headed League.
And of the video versions - Brett’s A Red-Headed League and Cumberbatch’s Scandal. If you’re not at work, try:

Irene Adler is gloriously beautiful. Far prettier than the Downey Adler.
Thanks. I’ll look. Amazing how Holmes has endured throughout the years with so many different interpretations. TV shows, movies, books, and plays.
That, Brett did. He suffered greatly, but gave so much. We just watched ‘The Blue Carbuncle’, and it was the first showing for Rick. I think now, he will want to see them all. This series is a gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, and Merry Christmas, my friend!
