The following was started during the recent Q drop pause. Being mindful that there is a Q flurry going on, it nevertheless seems appropriate to offer a Qanteen Qanticle for the Season. I do hope you enjoy it!

TEXOKIE’S QHRISTMAS MELTDOWN

*texokie, as often happens, woke to the loud bonging of the Qanteen Qlock. There is a large Qanteen dawg’s head and front quarters across her legs, and some of the Qanteen Qatz are nestled against her back. One enterprising Qat is attacking her hair which apparently had transformed into The Enemy. There is a very hard jagged sharp something poking her in the ribs. Upon investigation she learns that one of the Qanteen Dawgs has deposited the large gnawing bone there before draping himself artfully, as dawgs do, over her lower extremities. Someone had thoughtfully covered the whole pack with a big feather quilt. Except for the Qlock, all is quiet in the Qanteen. She watches the Qhristmas tree lights twinkle on the big magnificent Qanteen tree while she wakes.*

*She excavates herself and pats and scratches all her little furry friends, who yawn and turn over to continue their naps. Texokie shrugs her shoulders and covers them back up after she climbs out from under the Steinweigh…except for the one awake little Qanteen Qitty, who had been attacking her hair with such vigor. THAT Qitty jumps to the top of the Steinweigh and meows. Then settles into a purring furrball doing paw-tucket on the sonata manuscript someone has been recently practicing over the past few days.*

*Texokie stands up and stretches. She thinks of all she needs to do this day…. She is hopelessly behind on the Q Thread, she has the research from a few digs that she REALLY wants to write up and post…..and as often happens, there has been a flurry…. Not only outside in the lovely cold December winter of the Qanteen, but also from Q! ...And of course, there are other side projects she wants to do. She hasn’t done any more of her Whittling lately…and REALLY wants to complete a bunch more of the walking sticks she started so she can give them out for Qhristmas. YIKES!! QHRISTMAS!!! ONLY TWO WEEKS!!!*

*Darlin’ wants to take her for a drive in the mountains with the 4-wheel drive pickup so they can get their personal Christmas tree and some more decoration boughs for the Qanteen. (The Qlock mantle should be appropriately decorated!) They like to watch the birds, and play in the snow too…..and of course, there are things to do in the Qitchen and around the Qanteen in prep for Qhristmas! Thank goodness some of the hearty FReeQs went out after Thanksgiving and got the gorgeous Qhristmas Tree which has been set up near the Steinweigh. They even decorated it to a fare-thee-well*

TEXOKIE’S QHRISTMAS MELTDOWN

*Texokie wanders down the hall. All is quiet in the Oracle and LexiQon offices….. but there IS a light shining from under the door of Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlet’s) office. Texokie knocks cursorily on it, and walks in, bed head and all, without MoD(aD) actually having the chance to answer….. as a result of which, texokie is nailed with the suction cup on a nerf dart dead center of her forehead, which sticks there, bouncing lightly.*

Mother! AAAAAaaaaaaaarrrrhgh!!!! I’m SO FAR BEHiiIIiiIIiiIIiiiiiiiiind! What am I gonna doooooooo????

*Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets,) after first ascertaining that her little Dragonlet, texokie, was ok, and that the nerf dart really didn’t hurt her, began thinking of the problem. She was feeling MUCH the same way, but this particular Whining Problem was in front of her, and didn’t show ANY sign of going away any time soon on its own. She graciously receives the nerf dart which texokie hands her*

What is it, texokie? What’s the matter???

OH Mother of Dragons(and Dragonlets), I am SOOOOO far behind! I have data from three or four digs stacked up to write, and just have not found the “round tuits “ required to get them written and posted! I’m about 600 posts behind in my reading on the Thread!

I was in the process of prepping to post a 6 part piece on something, when Darlin and I looked at the Qlock and noticed it was past midnight! We decided I should hold off until later..... And I was going to read ALL the posts on the thread….then when I get to my computer, lo and behold - FRESH Q!... Then there is the matter of having some thoughts to post about some recent Drops, but no time to properly research them! And I also have swirling thoughts on the Fresh Q droppings which I’d like to post,.... but guess what.... I’M POSTING BLIND!!! I haven’t read the thread and have NO IDEA what others are SAYING!!! and I just KNOW that if I post my initial impressions late - after forty-eleven people will have made the same point, it will make me sound like an idiot!!!..... which come to think of it, often happens anyway! But no matter….

I’M BeHIIIIIIiiiiind!

Q is dropping crumbs like a Dragon drops Fewmets! I may not be able to actually follow this current thread, no matter how much I want to! Do I post? Do I read, work with the puzzles, and research on the New Q Fewmets? Do I go back to bed? Do I do write ups? ...WHAT???!!! Should I just post the most finished thing? And forget the rest??? I DON’ WANNA DOOOOO THAT!!!!!! I WANNA DO IT AAAAAAAaaaaaaaLLLL!

*texokie glances at the Qalendar on Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlet’s) desk and complains, almost, but not quite, at the top of her whining capacity:*

OH MOTHER OF DRAGONS, I HAVEN’T EVEN SHOPPED FOR QHRISTMAS YET!!!!!

*Texokie sinks to the floor in a despondent posture. Because texokie seemed most upset by this last point, Mother of Dragons and Dragonlets addresses this item on the List of Woes first:*

I thought you were going to give out those walking sticks?

THEY’RE NOT FINISHED!!! AND CHRISTMAS IS SO CLOSE!!!! AND BESIDES, YOU AND MOST OF THE OTHERS ALREADY HAAAAaaaaaaVE WALKING STICKS!!! WHAT AM I GONNA DOOOOoooooo????? AND I’M A TERRIBLE PRESENT WRAPPER!!!!! HOW ARE THOSE STICKS GONNA FIT IN THE WRAPPER BAGS, ANYWAY????”

I know you’ll think of something!

WHAT??!! ALL I CAN THINK OF - NO - ALL **I WANT** TO THINK OF IS Q!!! WILL MY NORMIE FAMILY UNDERSTAND THE Q WREATH, THE Q T-SHIRTS I’VE MADE? AND THE Q QUPQAKES AND QOOKIES??? NOT TO MENTION THE MEMES I PRINT OUT AND PASTE ON THE TREE ORNAMENTS??? EVERYTHING I DO EVERY DAY IS Q!!!

*texokie pauses for a big breath. Dragonlet texokie finally runs down at last, sitting in the floor trying not to be overwhelmed by it all. She whines softly now, which is a pleasant switch in volume for Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets.)*

*Little does she know ALL that Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) endures on behalf of her and all of her Dragons and Dragonlets - but being just a little dragonlet, texokie knows that the Mother takes valuable time and listens and comprehends and has compassion, wisdom, and advice..... and even sometimes, QOOKIES! She is inspired to continue with her loud complaining*

Oh Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets), what is one poor little dragonlet to DOooooo?

If I give them Q presents, will they still LIKE ME????? All the good stuff in the stores is GONE!!!! WHAT AM I GONNNAAAAAA DOOOOOOOOoooooooo???????

*Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) ponders a moment, with her brow wrinkled in concentration. Then she brightens:*

You have ladies mostly left to buy for, don’t you? I know they are normies, but what if you bought some “Q” charms and strung them on some pretty ribbon for necklaces? And if you have guys to buy for that you forgot, put their Q on a key chain! Hobby stores usually have a lot of Qs left on the charm racks. If your normie loved ones ask “What’s this?” You can just say,” I’m pretty sure you will find out soon.... but in the meantime, just know you are a Quintessential part of my life!”

OH MOM!!!! That’s a good idea! Do you think they’ll like that????

Oh, I’m sure of it, little one. Who wouldn’t want a “Q?”

*texokie’s face lights up and Q charms dance in her head.... along with the walking sticks paradiing in her mind like the Disney broomsticks in “Sorcerer’s Apprentice”. Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) is glad to see the happy face on the little dragonlet. Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) can see the wheels turning again, and is really happy she was able to help get the rake handle out from between the spokes of the wheels of the mental wagon that had almost turned over. *

BUT MOTHER, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE OTHER STUFF???? I’M SO BEHIND ON MY Q WORK!!!!

Thanks Mother, for helping me think through my Qhristmas prep problems, but what AM I gonna do about my Q work????

I’m SO FAR BEHiiIIiiIIiiIIiiiiiiiiind! What am I gonna do first????

*Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) is wise in the way of all her small charges, and has actually heard this kind of complaint MANY times. She keeps a large Qookie jar on her shelf, and had just finished filling it, expecting several more visits of this kind today. She knows the signs.*

*She pats Dragonlet Texokie on the back and gives her a hug. She tries to straighten the little dragonlet’s hair, but gives it up as a Lost Cause - for now*

Oh my poor little dragonlet. Stop trying to drink the Mississippi dry! Please remind me again of what things are stacking up on you.

*texokie wails, but actually engages her brain to organize the specific complaints*

I have stacked up research data that needs to be written up. I’m about 600 posts behind in my reading. I had just made up my mind to catch up on reading the thread posts, when Q had a Fewmet Flurry! So now I’m behind in that reading too! I have thoughts about some of the puzzles in the new ones, but I’d be posting blind and that is such a pain not to know what the conversation has been…. So then I look like an idiot!

*texokie winds down again, and stares at the floor in front of her *

By the way, before I forget, I saw you out on the ledge yesterday cleaning my windows. It is really so much brighter in here now. Thanks so much, texokie!

We know that there is a LOT of material to cover, texokie… And at Q’s, direction, Anons, the various Q boards, twitter, and youtube broadcasters, and each of our Qanteen FReeQs, and YOU are in the midst of a reading, research, and posting frenzy being done by thousands - if not millions of people!

I’m also certain that our Lurks are very busy too, trying to keep up. There are so many ideas and so many directions to follow. It IS difficult to focus! And you are not the only one with that problem! But just think of what we have all learned together over this past year!

What is it you MOST want to do? - and don’t worry about being an idiot. We are all idiots together - AND so very Deplorable! Set that concern aside right now!
You know as well as I do that sometimes an “idiot” remark really CAN trigger a profound thought in someone else, which leads to insight! LOL! and of course sometimes they don’t - but we all get a laugh, and maybe that’s just as good!

*texokie considers what Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) is saying, and she decides that maybe she wants to do a little bit of idiotic posting and answering pings and email.... and then, go out to the green houses with Darlin, and help greeneyes with the plants. And she REALLY wants to go out in the 4 wheel drive pickup with her Darlin’ to get their tree and the boughs for the Qanteen Mantle*

I think I’d like to do a little bit of posting, and then spend some time with my Darlin’!

That sounds like a good plan, small Dragonlet. You should do just that. Post a bit, and THEN take a break. If you feel like posting an impression on new Q, note you are posting blind - but I’d say your calling is to be one of our researchers. Perhaps you should focus on that. Don’t be so hard on yourself! Do what is in front of you to do!

PART FOUR

TEXOKIE’S QHRISTMAS MELTDOWN

*Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) thinks about life in the Qanteen a bit and thinks about each of her charges. So many of them are perfectionists and high powered thinkers. So many are high achievers. So many staunch Patriots have been giving so much time and effort to the Q threads and research. Each and every single one is of immense worth and very precious.*

* She reflects, Christmas Season, while always joyful, can be fraught with stress in and of itself, and then on top of that, she sees her FReeQs dealing with trying to stay up with accelerating current events explained by Q and the Anons and FReeQs. All of this can truly be overwhelming. SHE gets overwhelmed at times! What would she do without her nerf darts!? She hopes that she and ALL of her Dragons and Dragonlets can find that proper inner Quiet balance to be able to enjoy the many gifts of the Season...including the exciting Q events being unwrapped before our eyes*

My little Dragonlet, none of us has truly experienced anything like this before. The WORLD hasn’t. We DO all want to learn everything AT ONCE RIGHT NOW!!! We are not only learning about the Drops - the “Fewmets” you so Qaintly call them - and to try to solve the many puzzles associated with them. However, so many of the clues lead us to learn about the intricacies of the history and hidden histories BEHIND the current events unfolding.

There of course, is the added stress of realizing sometimes that what we find is not so pretty, and knowledge of which can in itself be stressful. There are so very many levels of challenge to this thing we call “Q.”

You really ARE too hard on yourself. So many FReeQs ARE too hard on themselves! In an undertaking of this size it has grown to the place where it is almost mandatory that people specialize to some degree. We must rely on each other!

We all have our roles…. Remember what Q said: ”There is a place for everyone.”…And remember, we are ALL behind! Not even all of us together could drink the Q Mississippi dry at this point!

Be sure to remember that it isn’t only you who is behind. Many of our Qanteen members are involved in the important work of doing their jobs and raising their families and helping their communities. They have the tall order of working hard and then on top of that, focusing on reading Q and keeping up with the high points, and then telling others. Others of us are actually keeping up with the thread, and provide MUCH needed continuity with their posts. But that does not leave them a lot of time to research. And of course, no matter what we concentrate on, we find ourselves telling others!

Still others do the difficult work of finding and reporting information from tweets, facebook, youtube, other Q forums, and the Chans. Others think and analyze. Some busily create and collect memes to the glee and chuckles of all. Others take the memes and tweet and email and spread them around in many ways.

Mairdie has been helping with our Thread Heading structures, and finding amazing articles for us, on top of preparing and presenting elsewhere on the forum the fruits of her family legacy with her own talents added. And we have greeneyes and her crew out doing the greenhouse and grounds work. Blu and her crew have our Qarage and rolling stock in good order. AND they all seek mightily to not only keep up with reading, but to contribute to the thought processes required in our Q work as much as possible. All of us here at the Qanteen have multiple responsibilities within our specialties! All who come here to help and learn are welcome, and NEEDED.

And don’t forget bagster, the Oracle, who helps us all keep track, nor Swordmaker, Definer of Terms, (who, rumor has it,) has returned from HIS break! Little One, NONE of us is keeping up with EVERYTHING we want to keep up with! We do what we can! Put things into perspective and choose your priorities!

*Small dragonlet, texokie, brightens at the prospect of letting go of the intense pressure to try to “do it all”, and then helps herself to the special lovely LARGE ceramic bunny Qookie jar (cram full of fresh ginger Qookies - with ICING!) - which Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) offers as she sits by the not so woeful anymore dragonlet in the middle of her office floor. Texokie had seen the bunny jar yesterday when she was out on the ledge cleaning the windows.*

*They listen together to an inspiring rendition of “Chop Sticks” being played on the sleek shiny black Steinweigh by some of the more talented-than-usual FReeQs, followed by a now-dislodged Qitty yowl, and then the light airy opening bars of a Mozart sonata roll through the Qanteen with the piano's rich magical tones*

OH!!!! SWORDMAKER’s BACK???? Well, THAT changes EVERYTHING!

*Just as the rousing performances of “Chop Sticks” and the Sonata practice finish on the Steinweigh, the Qlock on the mantel, with the impeccable timing you would expect from a Q Qlock, puts on its display of loud hooting Owls and ear splitting chimes. Oh how much the little dragonlet and her Q Mom, the Mother of all Dragons (and Dragonlets) love being in the Qanteen as they munch on their favorite cookies together!*

Thanks Mom!

*texokie burps delicately and earns a warning look from MoD(aD). Mother of Dragons (and Dragonlets) is wracking her brains as she brushes crumbs away from texokie's mouth, wondering where on earth she had inadvertantly hidden the hair brush*

*Both break up laughing, hug, and get ready to meet the rest of the Qhristmas and Q-filled day. Texokie's hair will continue to be a Lost Cause for a little while longer..... *
