No, but local market not unionizedvsame story by employees. One 60 year old, with high skilled background, working deli, told me he cannot afford an efficiency apartment with wages from full time job. He lives in a camper on a friend's commercial property.

I have lots of grandchildren and all working, except for lawyer and entrepreneur, same issue.

Reagan avoided this mistake. Trump hasn't or couldn't

"I am wondering if this is not a market manipulation on part of anti-Trump Deep-Staters."

My first instinct, based on what I've been witnessing over the last two years.

Yes. Wages have been going up in many service jobs. Some young people have told me that their getting quite a bit more pay in service jobs.

President Trump knows that the political/regulator class depends on a strong private sector for survival, and that includes a large manufacturing base on U.S. soil (as contrasted with U.S.-"based" manufacturing on foreign soil). The increasingly outrageous piles of government debt are a result, in large part, of intentional de-industrialization and declining manufacturing on U.S. soil causing balance of payments deficits in trade. That, and continuing big government spending, of course.

The can of worms was there all along. President Trump simply exposed it. It's time to fight, until it's buried. Democrats received much more campaign funding than Republicans for the midterm elections. We, the little people, need to make sure that it doesn't happen between now and 2020.

Yes,I was alive and benefited. I also lived through the horrible depression! caused by Carter early on in Reagan's first term. I actually was super involved in both Reagan campaigns. And have been an early Trump supporter.

I just do not see much lower and middle class improvement yet with Trump.

Yep. I’ve heard complaints from Safeway employees about their low pay. Walmart employees are paid much more. Many fast food employees get higher pay now. It’s no surprise, though.

You mention Safeway employees getting a penny an hour raise. You then call a Safeway deli guy ‘skilled labor’.

He’s not.

I’m skilled labor. I do Big Data computer development, 145 million records a shot for one process alone. I got 4% raise and 8% bonus last year. Look to do the same this year.

Sorry, but I said the Deli guy, at a local market, not Safeway, WAS a skilled worker before he went to work at Deli.

My point was that a skilled person, he should be worth decent pay even at Deli.
