2019 Golden Globe nominations are revealed, kicking off Hollywood award season

Hollywood's award season is kicking off with the reveal of the 2019 Golden Globes nominations streaming live on Thursday morning.

Terry Crews, Danai Gurira, Leslie Mann and Christian Slater will be broadcasting live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel to reveal which films, TV series, performers, and more have been nominated for the 76th annual Golden Globes.

Also on hand will be Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Meher Tatna, Golden Globe Ambassador Isan Elba.

The announcements are being made one month before the January 6 ceremony, which will be hosted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh.

"Black Panther" was nominated for Best Picture. Two other let us say "black" movies were also nominate "BlackKKKlanman" and "If Beale Street Could Talk".

I'm actually ridiculed by colleagues because I don't know who the hell most of these people are. My ace in the hole is to ask them what was the last book they read. If it does, it would be the first “popular“ movie to win Best Picture for almost a generation. Not a single film that won that award in the last 15 years has been in the top 20 highest grossing films of the year.
