“Why cant they remove FLAKE from the Committee and replace him?”
Cuz Flake speaks for the party of Bush, the GOP. Flake is the rule[rino-neverTrumper] not the exception in the Senate.

If a steaming pile of excrement were on your right, with Jeff Flake on your left, you’d step right.

McConnell is the real force behind this. He could pop this pimple by yanking Flake off the committee. He could also recess the Senate so our President could get all his guys in under a Recess Appointment. He wants to delay draining this swamp because he is the swamp.

I think it is about 28 days before the Senate officially sees the last of Flake.

Another ‘it’s all about me’ politician.

The day he came in to the committee room, the morning of the vote, and declared he wanted the FBI to investigate the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh before he’d be willing to vote, his face was all flushed, and he looked guilty as sin. He looked like someone who had been thoroughly cowed, and threatened just moments before.

Would the floor vote on special counsel protection pass?
And if it did pass the Senate, would it pass in today’s House?
And, even if it passes both Houses, can’t it just die in Trump’s desk drawer with a pocket veto? After all... its the Holiday Season, he’s busy.
And, if it lays in Trump’s drawer until the next Congress is in session, isn’t it a dead bill that would have to be reinitiated? And there’s a 53-47 GOP majority in Congress... well maybe less with Willard and the weird sisters (Murkowski and Collins), and no Flake, so either it wouldn’t be revoted, or McConnell could just keep it from the floor.
What am I missing here? Is it that dangerous to make that a-hole Flake happy and get the judges through?
To: CMailBag
I wouldn’t cry if he never cashed a retirement check.

Actually, I would place Mr. Flake to my right and then walk left.

That has been really eating at me. I don't understand why no one is making a bigger deal of that, including Trump.

the guy I am sure is being blackmailed. I don’t think he is free to do what he wants... I am guessing he was caught doing something that would destroy him not just put him in jail.
