Redskins should’ve signed Tim Tebow...That would be another huge slap in the face to Kaepernick....

Skins are done this year.
They should hire Tebow and Kaepernick for the Christian and social justice fans.
They claimed Reuben Foster last week for the second chance crowd. Maybe they can claim Kareem Hunt as well.
At least it will make for good sports talk radio.
Hell. Ain’t nobody going to the games anyway.

Let ‘em bitch. Gruden was smart about it. Considering that three weeks ago, they were 6-3 and looked to pretty much have a lock on the NFC East, then in the interim they lost two starting QBs, half their offensive line, and several other starters, the last thing they need on the way to another 8-8 season is a malcontent SJW showing up on his knee to make a further spectacle of things. I’d rather go 6-10 with Sanchez than 10-6 with Kaepernick. Unless they get a lot of help, their season’s over, anyway.

I think the time has come and gone for any potential Kaepernick signing.

The guy hasn’t played an NFL game since 2016; and hasn’t played a full season since 2014. He never threw for even 3,400 yards even in a season where he played all 16 games (just two of his six seasons did he start in every game).

We are at the end of the 2018 season with just 4 weeks to go; and even a rostered backup QB in practice every week would need a game or two to get back up to speed as a starter. Any signing would have to be at the beginning of mini-camp/OTA’s in July/August of a calendar year.

Next year is 2019; a full 5 years since Kaepernick played a full season. He will be turning 32 at week 8 or 9 of next season.

It’s too late for him; continuing these idiotic stories about how no one is signing him due to his antics is ridiculous. Maybe the first season he was out, but not anymore. There are too many younger (and better) QB’s coming out of college each year that can be developed for NFL game speed and playbooks than a guy that has sat for this long. No team can afford to spend a QB roster spot by cutting/not signing a 22 year old Division I starter as a first year NFL backup in favor of Kaepernick.

Look how fast Baker Mayfield took the starting job from an older Tyrod Taylor with the Browns this season.

As a Pokes fan but also a UT alumnus, I’m sorry Colt was injured. I like to watch that kid play. Sort of a Doug Flutie of the Pines. LOL

......and to top it off they’re STILL CALLED THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS!!!!

Because of the infamy attached to the team name,
the Washington Redskins will be changing their name
to the Andover Redskins.

If helmets were eliminated in the NFL, Kaepernick could be hired as a defensive back, as Kaepernick’s *fro could intercept any pass ever made!

Actually, since the NFL loves him so much, they could just allow him to play without a helmet. Kaepernick’s fro would absorb any collision. That vulgar ugly thing would be better than a helmet with air-bags!

Oh, that makes sense. About as much sense as the folks on this board who want to see Tim Tebow play QB just because he is an outspoken Christian.

Tim’s and Colin’s issue is the same. They were not a good enough QB for the NFL owners to look beyond their distractions. Tim was a great college player who could not play in the pros. Colin had one good season in the NFL. He was not a great player. The NFL looks beyond outside issues with great players. It does not with mediocre players. They are not worth the hassle.

This is awesome but yeah, as the writer states, expected.

Kaepernick is done in the NFL not just because he was a subpar QB who was awful in his last year....Oh wait, that IS the reason.

That, and he comes with a ton of baggage that most locker rooms would frankly not want to deal with.

Buh-bye, Colin. You made your choice. Now live with it.
