Due to the combined application of the laws of the Third Reich of 1935 and 1938, the confiscation of all firearms from German Jews was categorically legalized.
As a result, a massive (and effective) campaign for the confiscation of weapons had begun, and in many regions of Germany, the Jews were wholly disarmed in just six months – by November 1938. For example, the day before the pogrom, on November 8, 1938, the New York Times published an article reported that the head of the Berlin police noted with satisfaction that practically all firearms from Berlin Jews had already been taken. The Nazis' sequester was effective because law-abiding German Jews registered all their weapons, as the law required. As a result, the addresses of the Jewish owners of the firearms and the details of the weapons in question were known to the authorities in advance.
There is every reason to believe that the catalyst was not the murder of the third secretary of the German embassy in Paris, but rather a series of articles printed in the German morning newspapers on November 9, 1938. Their reports about the practical completion of the seizure of weapons from Jews served as a trigger for the pogrom.
The killing of a minor diplomat cannot drive the whole country to a bloody massacre, but a guaranteed absence of armed resistance certainly can.

How would you feel about a book entitled, “What really caused black lynching in the US?” Or “Why are conservatives hated by so many?”
This makes sense - rings true.

I have said it before. And as time moves on, I believe it stronger. White males (esp. Christian, straight males) are being treated the same as the German Jews. In Deutschland, laws were passed directly affecting the existence of the Jewish population. Here? Laws are passed giving every one (race, creed, beliefs, sexual orientation, etc) special treatment / privileges. Thereby removing protections from said group. There are only 100% available ‘rights’ in society. To give more to certain groups, it must be confiscated from another. Welcome to the New World Order.

As a Jew who for all real-world applications is just another straight white male, this is exactly what it looks like to me.

Finally, in March 1938, a new gun control law was passed in Germany. In this law, the only mention of Jews was in the part that declared a total ban on Jews from participating in the production and trade of firearms and ammunition. However, this law, on the one hand, lifted restrictions of the possession of firearms by members of all Nazi-connected organizations (such as the NSDAP, the SA, and the Hitler Youth) and on the other hand prohibited the possession of firearms by all "untrustworthy" and those persons "relieved of their civil rights." By the law of 1935, not only Jews, but also all political opponents of the Nazi regime, as well as Gypsies and the homeless, were treated as "untrustworthy."
When the NRA is declared a "terrorist organization" it's going to be time to rumble.
The fact that the Northeastern power brokers in collusion with Washington DC were using them as a political tool to elect people who would support the crony capitalist system then in place in Washington DC. In other words, the same people who are using them as tools today, and for the same reason. To keep political and economic power.
But I expect you don't want to hear about that.

The point I wanted to make (and it’s odd that American Thinker disallows comment on this particular article) goes along the lines of this joke:
Two cops are at the scene where a woman was beaten so badly she had a smashed nose, broken ribs, and lacerations. One cop turns to the other and says, “I wonder what she said to deserve that!”
Is that what you are trying to say, or am I off base on that?
Put it this way. Could there ever be an excuse for something like the Holocaust or pogroms? Has “inexcusable” dropped off the lexicon?
I've noticed human history is rife with a lot of inexcusable events, and it feels as if another one is coming, but I don't know what to do about it.
It's as if the public occasionally gets a spell of madness put on them, and they go crazy for awhile.
Many headlines are leading - or misleading - in an unsavory way. They are essential to propaganda, regardless of the specific political bent.
