I have had bruised ribs & I can tell you that it hurt like no other pain!

I can vouch for that. And it takes months to heal.

In many ways the Dems act like a Soviet Party

They scratch and climb the greasy pole of politics their entire life, so the top ones like Clinton and Pelosi will never, ever give up power or influence. They will go out feet first. they also lie and cover-up their health failures, until one day, the world suddenly finds out they are dead.

I broke 2 ribs skiing once... worst pain ever.

Every time you breath it flexes, so it takes forever to heal.

Horrible 6 weeks. I could not take a deep breath so I caught pneumonia and the coughing nearly killed me.

Hard to tell - not uncommon for the treatments she’s gone through to weaken the bones and that has been known to result in events that entail much lower pain....older and feebler people often break bones and don’t realize it right away - especially if it’s more cracked than snapped.

Cover story for what? Parachute fouled in a HALO jump into North Korea? Supreme Court fight club? Cybernetic heart implant to keep her going another 30 years?

Old people can be stubborn. My grandfather injured his arm. When he was finally dragged in for an x-ray it was found to be broken. A week later the cast was itchy so he cut it off.

I broke 3 ribs in my mid 30’s and I was wrecked for at least 3 months; granted I went back to work too soon because I’m an idiot but I wasn’t 85. Something smells funky here. Cadillac health plan or not.

Yep!

Had broken ribs 3 different times.

You don't walk quickly, you don't cough, you don't laugh, or breath very deeply.

At ages 10, 30, and 42 they took 6 weeks to heal.

I don’t know how or when she went to the hospital but ALL of the symptoms she’s been displaying recently - frailness, wearing gloves to hide bruises on her hands, now the fall - are consistent with her having advanced vascular disease. It’s also been previously reported that she has low blood pressure which is another sign of geriatric vascular disease. If her extremities fall asleep often, which happens a lot for seniors that have vascular disease, she’s probably bumping them and causing the bruises which take months for someone with low-blood-pressure to heal. Hence the gloves. Vascular disease also causes sufferers to pass out due to the low blood pressure. Likely what happened before she fell. If she really did break three ribs and has low blood pressure it will be nigh impossible for her body to ever heal completely from the injury. Her veins are likely collapsing due to low blood pressure already so it will be very hard for her body get enough blood to the damaged ribs to heal them in anything less than eight months. Transfusions help immediately after the fall occurs but only the body can long-term heal itself. I had a relative who finally succumbed to vascular disease and her symptoms are very similar to his.

How does an 85 year old frail Woman break 3 ribs, goes home and only shows up at the hospital several hours later because of the pain & is now released less than 30 hours later? Something here isn't passing the smell test!

I'll tell you how. An 85 year old woman usually has a lot of calcium loss from their bones, making them more susceptible to being cracked or broken with much less force required. (How many times have you heard of an old woman falling and breaking their hip? How many times have you heard of an 18 year old falling and breaking their hip?)

I have known old women who have fallen and cracked a bone, and didn't realize it until the pain didn't subside and they went in to see a doctor. Being easier to fracture also means less trauma, less pain.

Your fractured ribs at 20-30-40 something does not equate to fractured ribs in an 85 year old woman.

The down side is that it will take much longer for her bones to knit for all of the same reasons that they were more easily broken in the first place.

Time for Ruth to retire...

I know exactly what you mean about ribs. I fell and injured my ribs once, and I can agree with you that it is excruciating with every breath. I can’t imagine the pain if the ribs were broken. And even just my injured ribs took a few weeks before I could take a deep breath.

Because they are likely hiding a more serious illness, with major political consequences.
