Each box needs to be numbered on all sides, then set up so that the numbers are consecutive, so that you know immediately whether or not all boxes are present, BEFORE the ballots are counted. Ballots don’t get counted until all boxes are accounted for. What is so effing difficult about that?
During the voting, each box is checked off as having been used. Each voter has an opportunity to note which ballot box he/she used.
Each box has the district number on it as well as a box number. When the boxes are brought to the polling place, the person in charge signs off on which box was received. Example: District 1, 3 boxes numbered 001-003.
District 2
004-0400. Every box checked to be sure they are all there.
Each time a box is changed, the box of the new number is written down.
If box 100 contains 2 ballots, but box 399 has 300, something is wrong.
They should know exactly how many ballots each box holds. The final tally should match the number of registered voters in that precinct, or less.
There are ways to check and cross check.
There is no reason why your precinct shows 50 people voted, but there are 500 votes to be counted.
Provisional vote?
Certain box numbers are allocated for that.
NH used to have a good system where I voted. They had huge tables with computer printouts under glass, and your voter card number. You gave your name, they checked the list, found your name, marked it. Your ballot number was placed beside your name.
The confusion at some of these polling stations shouldn’t exist, and if it does, that place should be suspect.

Whenever some punk black criminal got hurt or killed during the commission of a crime Barry would immediately send in DOJ shock troops to blast the local police with investigations and sanctions. Why can’t Trump/Whitaker do likewise when federal elections are being compromised by blatant vote tampering?

Little Marco tip toeing through the tulips here. How about he publicly request POTUS send in the Trump DOJ? Look at the Dems all day with specific policy requests. GOP is no where to be found. They simply don’t have Trump’s back. Ever.
