FBS Schedule ^ | 11-4-2018 | Brian Wilmer

Posted on 11/04/2018 1:42:15 PM PST by blam

College football rankings for week 11 have been released. Alabama remains the top-ranked team, while West Virginia, Syracuse, and Boston College made significant leaps in the polls.

Washington, which clipped Stanford, 27-23, moved into the AP Poll at No. 20.

Syracuse, who defeated Wake Forest, 41-24, surged nine spots to No. 13, due to a combination of their win and losses from other ranked teams. Boston College vaulted seven spots to No. 17 on the strength of a 31-21 victory at Virginia Tech. The Orange and Eagles both made 11-point leaps in the Coaches Poll.

NC State, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Cincinnati all moved into the AP Poll.

Teams that dropped out of the AP Poll include Utah, Houston, Iowa, Virginia, and Texas A&M.

Well the top 5 control their own destinies, and possibly Ohio State, everyone else needs help.

I actually would not want to play Nebraska right now. they have an awful reputation yet seem to just be turning things around.

"I don’t see anyone beating Alabama.:

Trent Dilfer says Tua is the best QB he's ever seen and does not expect him to lose even one game his entire time at Alabama.

I’m surprised LSU didn’t go down further after being shut out by Alabama. They held Alabama to the fewest points of the season but even the worst team Alabama played scored a touchdown against them.

Ohio State played a close home game against an unranked team. How on earth did they move up. What a joke.

Washington State dropped a spot or two, after barely defeating California--I think there were 35 or 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter when they scored a touchdown to break a 13-13 tie. Cal is ranked #65.

Oklahoma beat Texas Tech in a close game. In the 4th quarter Texas Tech scored a touchdown to make it 42-40 and went for two, hoping to make it a tie game. Instead the ball was intercepted in the end zone and the Oklahoma player ran it all the way to the other end zone, so the Sooners got the two points instead. Not something you see very often.

Clemson QB is a true freshman with an awesome arm. Second string is also a true QB. They beat Louisville yesterday scoring 77 points.

LSU only gave up 22 pts against that Juggernaut so they did not deserve to drop much.

It isn’t so much a loss but who you lost to.
