TUCSON, Arizona -- It was a sad showing for a 6-year-old boy's birthday party in Arizona.
Teddy's mom says they invited 32 of his classmates to a pizza party for his birthday in Tucson Sunday afternoon.
But no one showed up at Peter Piper Pizza restaurant.
Social media was flooded with messages of support, and Teddy's story caught the attention of some big names in the sports world.
The Phoenix Suns invited Teddy to come watch Wednesday night's game against the Lakers.
The Suns tweeted, "How about we celebrate with thousands at our place! Tickets to Wednesday's #SunsVSLakers game are all yours Teddy! Talk soon!"

Don’t most people request an RSVP, just to gauge the response?
Saddest

ever
geeez
mmmm... sausage and pepperoni pizza...
Sorry, this sounds fake.
You don’t invite that many people without getting a head count beforehand.
Best to give out invites and follow up with a parent for the RSVP.
That Kid sure ate a lot of Pizza, at least eight Slices based on what I can see in the Picture.
Of course.
There’s no chance 32 kids get invited for pizza and not a single one shows? I call BS.
At that age, I never simply received an invitation to a party. A parent would call my parent and ask if I could come.
Most likely eaten by the adults that brought him...parents and grandparents maybe...
There’s more to the story than this.
Sounds like very poor planning. Did mom and dad actually confirm with other parents their kids would come?
Must not have been a “Gluten Free” Pizza Place. /s
The ONLY thing worse that being that little boy is finding out that your Mom took a picture and told EVERYBODY in the country about how unpopular you are. Some people have no sense of discretion whatsoever!
We did NOT need to know about this dark day in her child’s life. The Mom’s reaction only makes it worse. What? no Dad around to play Yin to her hysterical Yang?
Not to belittle this story, but there’s got to be more going on here than meets the eye.
32 invites and NO ONE shows up? I know when my kids were young, the PC police made you invite every kid in the class so no one would have their feelings hurt. So since we weren’t going to do that, we called parents directly.
Now, his friends always showed up. Maybe some said no. But no one said YES and then didn’t show.
Something is very incomplete with this story and I’m sorry, but I think the Mother is a friggin jackass for posting the picture. It’s not about you douche. It’s about your poor child. Nice going. If this is even true.

You bet. Either the parent screwed up and the wrong date was on the invite, or this is made-up.
What kid turns down pizza? Come on.
Zero out of 32? Nonsense.
This kind of thing apparently happens quite a bit these days. Invites get sent out, RSVPs get received, and then people don’t show up anyway. The kid’s parents may well have gotten email confirmations or even verbal ones from the parents of the invitees, and yet still they get blown off because people just decide last-minute to skip it. It happened to some autistic/disabled kid last year(?), with the same kind of sad picture. Lots of entitled and boorish people out there these days. Poor kid.
I call foul, large room, plenty of plates and 1/2 eaten pizza.
Something else was going on in that Hall
Does that company use “Party On”plates ?
Staged
Sounds to me as though the invitations didn’t get out in time.

I get that parents of other kids can be thoughtless and ill-mannered, but saying ZERO showed is highly suspicious.
I call shenanigans.
