Probably not allowed in G.B. Their famous post-war tolerance, and acceptance and embrace (pun intended) of the government teat, has been biting them in their butts for many years. Someone on another thread mentioned Monty Python, (now streaming on Netflix, btw) and that’s EXACTLY the absurdity of it all...without the fun, of course.
