The guy paid $2.2 billion for an NFL franchise that is probably worth no more than $1.5 billion right now. He’s a moron.
Yes, seems to be the case. These employers are letting employees run things and are upset that customers have an opinion, are acting on them by boycotting, costing them millions of dollars or more. I think it is now time to remove anti-trust and other protections from the NFL. They don't deserve them and should never have gotten them in the first place.
"The Dallas Cowboys may be America's Team, but the Houston Oilers are Texas' Team!" -- the late former NFL coach Bum Phillips
So the unpatriotic rot goes all the way to the top. All the more reason not to buy NFL tickets and not to watch their games on TV.
There is an unspoken agreement between the players of a spectator sport and their fans that their sport is an ESCAPE from worldly concerns like politics.
Renege upon that agreement and there will be consequences.
It would almost be worth giving up my Internet anonymity to get a billionaire socialist like this man to publicly denounce me. What an honor.
If he were to go on record as denouncing me then the building of my obituary would be complete. Let's make this about me, me, me.
"I keep hearing all this talk about the value of diversity in this company. We do a lot of work under government contracts. Does anyone in this room think it's a good idea to hire people from countries where it is culturally acceptable to bribe public officials?"
If I have to eat in a restaurant where this mess is playing I sit with my back to the electric television.
If there are good options like buying some crackers from a vending machine, I won't even go into the place.
This clown shouldn’t be calling anyone names when he has a face that looks like it was stuffed in Hillary’s ass for 12 hours. I hope his $2.2 billion dollar investment in the Panthers is a big loser.
I wish they specifically say what these millionaires are protesting. But everyone wants to be a victim in today’s society.
Hey David Tepper it’s NOT just Trump - it’s also the 65 million people who voted for Trump ... AND a good number of democrats who still respect their country.
F*** you, Topper.
The TV contracts that have been renewed since this started both more than doubled in price. They’re not losing money.
Liberals don’t hate the rich/1%-ers, they hate anything conservative. This new breed of billionaires hide behind leftists ideology to incubate themselves and protect their wealth. Corporations do the same thing.
Which is of course not at all why he had to sell.
Tepper’s not bright. He should buy Megyn Kelly lunch and ask how taking on President Trump head on works out for people, especially when he’s right, and everybody else agrees with him.
Does this idiot actually believe that Americans have stopped supporting the NFL because of President Trump? The fact Peckerhead Tepper, is that Americans made that decision on their own. I miss your league not. Hopefully you investment proves to be a losing one in the long run.
He just expects broad deference to key liberal/leftist causes. When he doesn’t get it, he’s simply astonished. And he acts out.
He’s used to deference. That’s changing. That’s a good thing - more conversation is better than less.
Probably regretting that 2.2 billion he wasted in May
I’m conservative. I’m also a Panthers fan.
I really hate that the new owner is a moron, but I’m still going to watch the team and possibly go to a game next year. Not this year.
I certainly won’t be parking in my normal weekday parking spot as it’s directly across from the stadium and they charge $100 per vehicle to park. The insanity of pricing makes it cost prohibitative to go to the game.
Cost less to park for the month than for 5 hours on game day.
