Why isn't the black community speaking out? Because too many of them BENEFIT from crime. These 'yutes' and 'aspiring rappers' don't come from another planet- they are PRODUCED by the culture you expect to castigate them! Not gonna happen. Mama gets some of that loot, mama gets to ride in the stolen car, mama get $$ for her nails and weaves. Babymama's might get some too.
I hear black people , people I would otherwise consider decent, talking about crime and the arrests of such 'teens'. NEVER once heard any denouncement. Have heard 'yeah, we gonna get ours' and 'them boys didn't do nuthin wrong'! Let that sink in.They won't and can't speak out without damning the culture that produces these ferals. To damn them is to damn the culture with which they(for generations) have identified.

I raised a black boy (my son's friend) in my home for 8 years because his parents were drunks and beat on him. I just took him away from them to raise. He is a great father and husband.

You're lucky and you were very good to have done that for him. I hope he's grateful. I mentored one for 6 years, a very promising, intelligent, good-hearted lad. We went to bat for him with his mother, with teachers, and in so many ways, and taught him many life skills, up to and incuding how he would have to navigate in a biased world. We took him places; we believed in him. But during the teen years he started stealing from us in our home, in our cars, even from our child. We regretfully had to put him out of the house, without breaking ties; but he soon drifted away, and eventually we moved. Twenty years later, I looked him up online. He went to jail for awhile and is now a filthy-mouth YouTube rapper. I cried for days.
