I live in the northern San Fernando Valley, the area was once ranches and orange groves. Many of the homes still have orange trees on the property. Last week on the way home I noticed a U-Haul van with the side door open and a person hanging out taking oranges off the trees by the street. I pulled over and asked if they had the homeowner’s permission and was told (in broken english) that they were only taking the oranges that were hanging over the street so it was “okay.” I said that I would go to the door and ask the owner and as I walked up the driveway the van sped away.

We have a lemon tree in our front yard that is at least 25’ from the street. My wife has caught people several times with bags, boxes, and in one case a woman who used the front of her shirt, picking our lemons. When confronted they feign that they don’t speak English or just shrug and walk away. According to my wife never once did any of them show any remorse or apologize when caught.

Tennessee Williams was from Mississippi.

I mean names are just names in the entertainment industry.

Who would pay to hear West Virginia Ernie Ford?............

Yellow Gold. Lemons have become quite pricey here in Chicago.

Lemons are green before they turn yellow.

So are limes.

But limes that are yellow are not marketable because people expect limes to be green.............

Wow! When they're that size in Louisiana they call them citrons. They make good pies. 😁

Gasp! You mean to tell me that citrons are good for something other than target practice?
