If CNN hates it, it might be worth seeing, or perhaps CNN just hates Asians, at least those who haven’t proclaimed that they hate “white” people.
A Latina friend of mine saw it. She said it was pretty funny.
Similarly, I had zip interest in somebody’s Greek wedding, regardless of how big or fat it might be.
Unfortunately, Michelle Yeoh isn’t doing any Kung Fu in this film. LOL.
Black guys were cast in the following Broadway shows:
As Alexander Hamilton in HAMILTON.
As Hans in Frozen.
Joy Luck Club actually did have a white man in it.
He was a subject of derision.
He disrespect the chinagirls’ parents by putting copious amounts of soy sauce on the family-style food (not just his own plate), ruining it for everyone.
Because you know, white people are inconsiderate a-holes.

Just like the plethora of films where they gender bend and make the female the lead instead of the male, now its going to be asians telling the same old story...

Well, a lot of us are. Approximately half in the United States alone are this way. They vote Dem/Green/Social Democrat/Communist...
They’re ALWAYS the same old story. But if you like rom-coms, it looks pretty solid. Also from what I saw in the trailer the story very much is oriental. It’s not JUST the same old “one not worthy”, it actually does deal with how Singapore families, especially the rich families, and culture works.
