You have a couple of hotly-contested House races where Democrat incumbents in mainly white middle-class districts are facing serious challenges from Republican candidates. If you're one of the GOP candidates running in those House races, who would you rather have as the face of the Democrat Party in Minnesota: Keith Ellison or some obscure white person who nobody outside Minnesota ever heard of?
