The Best Years of Our Lives"
I'm with you. That is my favorite movie...people overcoming tough things, and very inspirational.
Timeless themes.

LOL, now THAT is different...”identify” with! I am SURE nearly everyone who has seen Groundhog Day can identify with parts of that!

Where’s’Behind The Green Door’ starring Marilyn Chambers?
To: Leaning Right
Some of those might be good movies -- even great ones -- but are hardly what I would call "inspirational."
The Shawshank Redemption is an inspirational movie?!

Correction; 1946.
It should be in a list of the top five movies of all time.

Ben Hur should be higher on the list. Best epic evah, and very inspiring
To: Leaning Right
One of my favourites that might make this list is “The Natural” (1984).

LOL. I may not have described it correctly. The term used may have been “personally and culturally relevant” or something like that. Apparently Ramis was really surprised to learn that there were religious groups of all faiths all over the U.S. organizing group trips to theaters to see the movie when it came out.

Well, you are right in a way, but everytime its on, I get hooked again, so they must have done something right.
I find that many of the movies I liked are on the list, evern though I did not watch them to be inspired.
But the theme for Working Girl was inspirational.
“Let the river run...”

I tear up every time I see it.

I see the PC clowns dropped “Gone With The Wind” and “Citizen Kane” from the list.

I know people who reference that movie nearly once a day! Now THAT’S staying power!

Absolutely. Great cast. Great themes, Timeless,. Conservative, Family, and Military themes.
It was the first film to feature an amputee and the mental and physical issues so prominently. Also, dealt heavily with PTSD, and the themes of those who fought and those who got fat on the war economy.
Great film!
