I am FB friends with Matt Abbott (profile), a Catholic journalist who writes most regularly for Alan Keyes' Renew America. He has been prolific over the years on the subject of (homo)sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. He posted this:

Facecrook's algorithm must be very quick these days, because in less than 5 minutes, I got these concurrent responses from FB:
When I signed up with Facebook, it was a an open forum where anyone could discuss their beliefs--their politics, articles etc. as long as it wasn't illegal or dangerous. Under that pretense, I opened a business page and used the apps and features THEY continually lobbied me to utilize, like Messenger and many other apps.
NOT A WHINE; A warning: Do not open business pages on Facebook or use any of their in-house apps. I cannot access mine, do any updates or respond to clients/customers who reach out. Don't use messenger - my wife and I lazily have been using messenger for texting. Can't get with her until we get back into SMS texting. Same with a many of my other people.
I'm also FB friends with author Matt Bracken (our Travis Mcgee), who I will ping here. He is literally being pursued by the management of FB... over nothing. The guy can barely say what he wants anymore, I expect him to be perm banned at any time.

Facebook has been accused of "enabling vicious Jewish hatred" after telling users an image depicting human remains on a shovel below the tag line "How to pick up Jewish chicks" did not breach its standards.
Just days after back flipping on its decision to censor an iconic Vietnam War photo of a naked girl escaping a napalm bombing, the social media giant is again under fire over its handling of posts reported as offensive.
In reply to complaints about the shovel image - which was widely shared, "liked" 21,000 times, and received more than 37,000 comments - Facebook said: "We reviewed the post you reported for displaying hate speech and found it doesn't violate our community standards."
Under its community standards policy, Facebook says it "removes hate speech" that attacks people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin and religious affiliation.
"We allow humour, satire or social commentary related to these topics, and we believe that when people use their authentic identity, they are more responsible when they share this kind of commentary," the policy says.
The image was posted to a page attributed to a Queensland man late last month and shared 2280 times. It has now been removed but tens of thousands of comments, many of which are anti-Semitic, were still visible in the thread as late as Thursday.
A Facebook spokesman said the image was removed for breaching community standards and that the company was still investigating.
But 24 hours after being asked, the spokesman could still not say when the photo was taken down. Facebook could also not explain why only the photo was initially removed and not the entire thread - which is standard when a post is pulled.
I limit Facebook to family and two groups, one of which is Free Republic where I go when the site goes down and I want an update from Jim. I never provide any political or other commentary. I like the fact that we have snakes on my farm, but I don’t play with them, even the non-poisonous ones. Facebook is a snake.

I removed facebook from my smartphone a week ago. Though I can still access it on my computers, I haven’t yet. I guess it’s one of those “out of sight, out of mind” things.
I doubt you will be the last. This is about manipulating elections by silencing the opposition’s ability to communicate with the public.
I guess that is the AAAWORST outcome possible....
Ultimately this may be a sign that Christians (and I speak in a pan-Christendom manner) need to commit what they’re doing more closely to the Lord. I believe a new spiritual season is coming in which the Lord will be bending close, looking for every possible believer. I haven’t gotten blocked, though I’ve gotten some catcalls and pushback.
Things that are church affairs might also not be the very best thing to air on a secular network. Though I know the problem. Corruption has gotten so bad and so rife in a particular area that it actually spills out into the world. Now that is the encyclopedia definition of a horrible witness. Francis should be wailing in sackcloth and ashes over this one, even if it didn’t begin on his watch.
Idiots on here will say to start a new website. A website with 200 readers is not equivalent to one that has 2.23 billion monthly users (latest figure).
This shutting out conservatives is an act of political war. And as such the Administration needs to intervene before we lose our country.

I would urge it do whatever it can to put the fear of God into these big tech bastards. I've called my Senators and Rep, and I want legislation curtailing the ability of big tech to silence dissident voices.
