ow’s the time to get that hand-held fan.

Intense humidity will make the next couple of days in New York feel even hotter than the soaring number on the thermometer — turning the city into a swampy hellscape.

There’ll be highs in the 90s on Monday and Tuesday but it’ll actually feel like a muggy 100 degrees or more, warned Accuweather meteorologist Dan Pydynowski.

NYC sucks in the summer. Hot, humid, and odor from garbage. I would pray for summer to end and the beautiful crisp fall days begin.

It’s been in the 90s and 100s all summer here in San Antonio except for a day or two of rain. C’mon Yankees, toughen up. And don’t be thinking of coming to Texas. We don’t want ya.

What's the humidity level like?

Here in Boston it's been muggy pretty much all summer, even after thunderstorms of which I feel like we've had fewer than usual. I don't mind the heat during summer -- I used to work outside doing manual labor and 90s don't faze me -- but when there's wispy steam curling up off the lawns and your clothes feel damp immediately after stepping outside, I start to not like it.

Yankees are not the demographic you should be worrying about

Just saying

If Anglo women don’t start breeding again Texas is lost

Departmento del Mexico Norte

Ciudad de San Antonio ser el Capital Nuevo

And the Alamo will be celebrated for different reasons ...the slaughter of the Anglo barbarians

If that’s their definition of a “swampy hellscape”, yeah... stay up north.

Ditto to all if that. Ironically, I was just in the New York City area a couple of weeks ago, and it was miserably humid all week long. However, miserably humid and 80 degrees doesn’t match up to a 104. My wife and kids are returning to San Antonio in a few hours, and they can’t wait to get out of NYC for a multitude of reasons, humidity being just one on the list.

” turning the city into a swampy hellscape.”...…..

Now they’re blaming both Trump AND the weather. It was a “hellscape” long before Trump ever came on the scene.

Ahhh, picture NYC after the SHTF - 30+ days without electricity in the dead of summer. Not for the faint of heart.

Bad as the one in 1896? 1500 dead.

Or 1901, 9500 dead.
How about 1948.
Maybe 1953.
Or 1972.

I used to have links to earlier NYC heat waves but the web page closed several years back.

You would think NYC never got hot before Glo-Bull warming.
