I served with a guy whose brain could not make the jump.
He functioned like he was still back on the farm, not the jungles of RVN.
And how much training time do you allocate for something that most, outside of the big cities, seldom if ever are faced with?
And the chase wasn’t?
He deserves a promotion and a medal.
Less than a minute after he started firing the chase was over.

No one killed in the chase was a miracle. I’m glad someone of his skill and courage was the one there and not the keyboard heroes on here
Watching the longer version on youtube, it is a wonder there were no traffic accidents.
And he has to key his microphone, driving one-handed.
No fricken way. He was shooting wildly throughout town. This is incredibly irresponsible and could have injured and killed people. What if you or your family were in the area at the time? And we need to put a clear stop to this before other cowboys try such stupidity. The city should fire him and anyone supporting it for the liability such wild shooting raises. Fire them all.

Shooting wildly? How do you normally shoot when chasing two murderers through town? He was keeping the fleeing vehicle in sight and avoided crashing while being shot at. He decided wisely not to wildly shoot left handed hanging out the side early on. When he got close enough he shot straight through the windshield several times and quickly ended the chase. DJT will probably be praising him soon.
And keep his sidearm within reach (he already unholstered it) while being shot at. Another thing he did right, he didn’t try to outrun the perps. He out drove them

Where were the stray bullets going that were being fired at him? How many people got lucky they weren’t t-boned or head-on’d by the idiot perp? This had to be be stopped and the cop did it quite well

This wasn’t a chase for a broken tail light. It was two murder suspects. The officer who’s body cam recorded this acted in an exemplary manner with remarkable results. Instead of being a critic, tell us all how you would have handled it
I said it was risky and dangerous. That is beyond question. I did not criticize how it was handled, I stated two facts.
It was risky and dangerous, and not shown in the body cam was the other police car that broke off the chase because of the suspect’s fire. They were chasing murder suspects, not a traffic offense. If the suspects evaded, it could be feloniously and murderously bad. This took big brass ones.

I was talking about his fumbling the mag reload, not really anything else. Looked good to me too otherwise, so long as the administrators are not going to jump on him about firing thru the window.
