To answer your question; Who do I believe? If it comes from our news media, I automatically discount whatever they say, until verified by a more trusted source. From what I heard from these three folks, I'd say that that policy of mine is further justified. No surprise there.
Does any thinking person believe the junk we are fed? I gave up. On the advice of wiser Freepers than I, I haven't watched ANY "news" program for almost a year, and I don't think I missed anything of importance in that time. My wife likes it because I don't yell at the TV anymore, and I like it because my blood pressure is much more stable. (I hate being lied to. It make me mad.)

The alternative is that Trump is a hapless victim, unable (for political reasons) or unwilling to disband Mueller's camp, open borders camp, and so on.
"Have patience" is perhaps an alternative to "trust the plan." The Monday morning quarterbacks imagine that behind the scenes is nearly completely haphazard. I'm sure it is chaotic, but my sense is there is a bigger strategy in play.
