Federal immigration agents stationed in Laredo, Texas, uncovered approximately $43 million of counterfeit clothing and accessories in a single bust in June.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency largely known for deporting illegal immigrants, said its Homeland Security Investigation agents found more 181,615 fake designer items that were being moved by a criminal organization in Laredo.

And how many illegal aliens crossed the border while they were inventorying this junk?

Don't get me wrong, stop imports from China, but how about the illegal aliens first?

I won’t argue with giving a priority to nabbing illegals. I view this operation as equivalent to seizing assets from drug cartels, and chinese criminal enterprises.

I’m pretty sure that ICE has non-field personnel to take care of administrative things, like inventorying illegal goods.

This is correct. ICE has specialized folks whose sole background is counterfeit items and that’s all they do. There are more than 20,000 ICE employees...not just in the US, but some based around 40-odd countries.

FR promises to throw THE most lavish party for the ICE agents if they were to nab 181,615 illegal aliens and deport them.

That could happen if they focused solely on Los Angeles or San Fran or just about any major US city.

Here’s how they do it: Throw a FREE FIESTA DAY celebration in the park. And when they arrive, round them up.

I dealt with customs for years- moving larger quantities of “tricky” chemistry around the world. If ICE were to be “abolished”, folks would get real unhappy, real quick.

Laredo sits on the Mexican border. My guess is the same group moving human cargo moved Chinese counterfeit goods. All part of the same web.

Use the clothes for prison uniforms for illegals. Win/win.

"Don't get me wrong, stop imports from China, but how about the illegal aliens first?"

The ChiComs aren't as valued as the Cartels are. They are both massive political campaign financers but the Cartels also deliver massive voter fraud. If you ever go to a polling place to vote and there is a voter there who can not speak English the odds are 99.999% that you are witnessing voter fraud.

I'm with you on this. Same with drugs, how many years did they "watch" this go on before acting on it? They acted on it the month before but it continued. Big deal, some clothes came through but we let in that caravan in California. Clothes aren't going to rape and kill.

ICE has never been found within 10 miles of any Mexican protest or parade.
