Star Daniella Pineda says that insight into her character was removed for time. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom reportedly passed on an opportunity to add a bit more representation to its storyline.
Star Daniella Pineda said in an interview with Build that a line of dialogue that was cut from the film would have revealed her character Zia Rodriguez was a lesbian.
"I understood why they cut it — for sake of time. It's me and Chris Pratt and we are in a military vehicle with all of these mercenaries," she told Build. "I look at Chris and am like, 'Yeah. Square jaw. Good bone structure. Tall. Muscles. I don't date men, but if I did, it would be you. It would gross me out, but I would do it.'"

The dinosaurs went extinct because the females went lesbian. That does not bode well for America.
Why should it matter what she does with her mouth when she goes home? It’s a movie about dinosaurs!

WHAT is the back story to THAT? I watch ‘Law & Order’ but only once in a while and in old re-runs. There’s a HUGE gap in my ‘TV Knowledge,’ LOL!
I actually spit out my coffee that morning when she said that to Fred Thompson! As far as I knew there was NO back story to her character at all, other than she was a bleeding heart liberal, of course.

I’m not sure what the back story was. It just seemed to come out of nowhere. I saw it mentioned on TV’s Most Unexpected Moments once.
OK. Then I didn’t miss anything with my hit-and-miss watching of the show.
Fred should’ve said (from what I observed of her character), “No. I’m giving you a chance to save face because you are one really awful lawyer!” ;)
Oh, yeah - I’m sure the movie company/producers really want to lose money to make sure that one or more characters are deviants.
Movies are not written for entertainment but to push liberal societal agendas.
I am very selective about what I view. Its not much. I watch a lot of reruns and syndicated/out of production stuff.
Think of the millions of young people who will be going to see this movie.
Because History will show she ate all the eggs.
A bit later in the story, we are told (sadly told) that QWERTYWXYZ characters in hollywood were “down” to only 12.9% in 2017-2018. Not bad, figuring less than 2% of real people are homosexual.

And it’s not even honest sex.
I am so tired of it.
If they’d left in, my first thought would be “Oh, so you’re a paraphiliac” and my second thought would be “Be a damn shame if a dinosaur gets you”
I don’t mind seeing gay men kiss on tv but I turn my head when the lesbians do it. That Vegas commercial, ew. I’d rather watch the Dino’s mate if I had to choose.
Just trying to screw things up even further.
