Diners accused of smoking weed, walking out on $420 restaurant bill
Police are looking for a group of more than a dozen diners who allegedly tried to smoke marijuana inside a restaurant before causing a scene and walking out on the $420 bill.
The incident happened Sunday night at Frida’s Mexican Restaurante in Memphis, Tennessee, WREG reported. The group of 16 came in at 10:30 pm, a half an hour before closing.
“They came in at the last minute,” Frida’s manager Jesse Gonzalez told WREG. “We didn’t think anything of it.”
According to Gonzalez, the group ordered some of the most expensive things on the menu: $11 margaritas and the Frida’s special burrito.

In Calif it’s a $1500 fine and they have to pay the bill. Then there’s the weekends of community service. These folks got away with it. No arrests. The police won’t do anything now.
50 years ago Memphis was a nice town. Now I avoid it at all costs. It may add 250 miles to the trip but it is SO worth it.
