Keith Olbermann is coming back to ESPN's airwaves.
The outspoken sports and politics commentator has been granted an "expanded role" with the Disney-owned sports broadcasting giant, a Friday report from New York Post claims.
"Since we started this, my sixth separate tenure with ESPN, in January, Ive found the variety of assignments to be the most fun and energizing of all my stints, he said in a statement on his new gig. Adding stuff, like being a rookie 59-year-old play-by-play guy, plus the Rip Van Winkle of SportsCenter, only adds to the smorgasbord. Cant wait, and at my age, I shouldnt."

Any bets on how long he takes to self-destruct yet again?
He is a raving lunatic,a walking mental case..they must be desperate.
.
Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Olby will work out THIS time for sure!
He is a nut. Putting aside his politics, he is an absolute nut that drives everyone around him nuts.
ESPN EXECUTIVE IN BOARD MEETING: Lets see now. We’ve already lost a half million subscribers in one month. What else can we do to suck ass even more?
JUNIOR EXECUTIVE: I know! We can hire Keith Olberman!
ALL: Yes, Agreed!
Refried beans is back on the Menu at ESPN! Comes with a heavy side order of sour cream and crushed peppers and free range Turkey.
Screw him and ESPN.
The sad thing is someone must actually be watching this crap!
Expanded role: Destruction of what’s left of the Extreme Socialist Propaganda Network and making the rubble bounce
(...like Jon Meacham’s role at Newsweak and everybody’s at the Communist News Network & MSBS)
Third time’s a charm.
He’s of the special lib group so never really loses his job. Let you or me get fired and we’d be lucky to get hired flipping burgers.
For the life of me I never understood how this nerd ever got a job, clear back to his KTLA days.
Wacko leftist never have to go looking for a job. Jobs come to them.
I saw that turd in the DC Metro last summer. Major beta male.
Olbermann’s biggest mistake at MSNBC was his constant obsession with O’reilly. Couldn’t quit thinking or talking about his nemesis on the other channel.
I don’t know why anyone watched him at all- why tune into Olbermann to find out what’s happening on O’reilly, when you tune right into O’Reilly yourself and get it straight from the horse’s mouth.
ESPN hires Keith Olbermann.
That will certainly do a lot to support the networks claim that its not overtly leftist.- Not Jerry Tipton

I believe most of ESPN's revenue comes from subscriber fees you pay on your cable bill. The ratings aren't that important to them as long as you don't drop the cable altogether.
I’ll listen for anything Keith has to say on sports, however long or short that may be.
Always thought he should be the Yankees radio guy. But his emotional & physical health won’t allow it.
He really knows baseball, and has a good sense of humor. But I hear he is impossible to work with. Can you imagine being stuck traveling with that guy?
