Maryland’s Obamacare insurers are asking for a 30 percent average rate increase for 2019, with some plans seeking hikes as high as 91 percent.
The proposals Monday come a few days after Virginia insurers also called for double-digit rate increases. Democrats have pounced on the rate hikes to say they are examples of how President Trump’s health policies are leading to high premiums.
Maryland Obamacare insurers CareFirst, BlueCross, and BlueShield plan to raise rates for an HMO plan on the law’s exchanges by 18 percent, and 91 percent for an extended network, or PPO, plan.
Kaiser Permanente, the state’s other Obamacare insurer, asked for a rate increase of 37 percent, according to a state filing. …

Insurance costs have more than quadrupled and they want to take more than 8 times as much.
I had a pre-ObamaNighmare insurance Blue Cross plan that was $112/month with a $250 deductible. Today, that plan is more than $1,300 with a $5,100 deductible.
As a resident of the People’s Republic of Maryland, I keep hoping the morons on the left will learn from yet another failure of socialism. I know, I’m way too optimistic. The one thing history teaches us is that leftists don’t learn from history.

In December 2013 we lost our Insurance because it didn’t meet Obamacare Requirements. We were paying $850 a Month including separate Dental and Vision Plans.
Note: At that time Donald Trump was NOT the President of the United States of America.
We had to get new Insurance through my Employers Retirement Group Plan which ended up costing $1,150 a Month as of January 2014.

Every Year since our Healthcare Premiums have risen dramatically, currently costing $2,075 a Month.
In January 2018, our Premium climbed about $100 a Month, so I guess I should blame POTUS Trump for that using Liberal Logic. LOL

My girlfriend started with Obamacare. She paid $30 a month.
Last year her policy had risen to $390 a month.
She told them to take a hike.
