There’s a few good bagel and pizza joints in FL. Their secret ingredient is tap water imported from NYC.

"Just curiouswhy on earth would she even ask for your phone number?" They say that it is used during returns. I believe it is a method of identifying where their customers are from. Don't know for sure.

I’m glad Chick-fil-a is doing well there. Once people try them they are convinced how wonderful the company and the food is.
I guess bagel’s are like grits. People in the south make much better grits than people in the north so I suspect NY bagels are much better than the southern knock-off. :-) After growing up eating homemade southern buttermilk biscuits, bagels are a hard sell down here.
Before I retired we had a lady on my team that was from up north. She always brought goodies in on Friday for the team meeting. Her preference was bagels but she always included donuts and sausage biscuits for those of us that didn’t like bagels. Even she commented that bagels down here weren’t like bagels from up there.

If the bars had regularly kept the underage drinkers out, they’d have all gone broke.

There are the drunk Waffle Houses, the late-night Waffle Houses, Waffle House as a house of freaks, but theres also this kind of nurturing, idealistic vision of Waffle House, So where's the nekkid Waffle House?

Oh for goodness sake, it’s a down home southern IHOP without the pancakes. A 24 hour diner. Somebody needs to give New Yorkers the National Geographic anthropologist on safari treatment, I’m sure there’s weird behavior galore there in broad daylight let alone in the middle of the night. So annoyingly smug, especially when they’re pretending to “understand” something or someone they hate.

The New York Times tries to get a handle on Waffle House. And fails.
Miserably.
Because it's the New York Times.

Waffle House is open in the middle of the night. And it's there for those of us who work 'til the middle of the night ... or get up in the middle of the night to go to work.
