Because I don’t necessarily trust that I would be getting the full story. I wanted to see if other parents knew what it was about. My son has been in what I think is a pretty good school. No “progressive” shenanigans, save one: I volunteered to help out to take the kids on an outing. It was a play. Turned out the play had a VERY aggressive socialist message to it. Something about a merchant who sold blankets and learned that it was much better if he gave his blankets away rather than sell them. I was not happy. If I had known the subject and story line of the play my child would not have attended.

Good lord!

I think that I would have asked a teacher or two if they would be willing to give up their paycheck in order to donate their time to educating children.

As far as the equity thing goes,if you don’t like how it sounds just keep the child home.
