In terms of parochial, un-self-aware narrow-mindedness, it is hard to beat this piece from the New Yorker on how the a popular purveyor of delicious chicken and waffle fries is making Manhattan into an unsafe space. Here’s the headline:

The author laments the demise of the local greasy spoons and diners. NYC has had many great ones, and they do add local color. The reason they went away is because the rents are too dear ... unintended side effects of rent control, high taxes and high regulation? The author is afraid that too many New Yorkers will eat the chicken because the food, value and the experience is better than the local alternatives. BTW, McD, Kentucky Fried Chicken and BK have been in NYC for decades as have local unexciting chains like “Burger and Brew”. Chick Fil-A does not diminish the variety available in the metropolis.
This guy actually laments the fact that Chick-Fil-A pits cows against chickens.
If someone is afraid of a sandwich, what will he do when confronted with real danger? These people are such imbeciles.

Can I ask some stupid questions?
First of all, the battle over homosexual marriage in our civil laws is over. The liberals won. Why are they still angry at Chick Fil A? Recall that the founder of the company had the audacity to say he thought marriage was a man and a woman.
But that battle is over. Why the continuing harrassment of this company?
Also, if. Chick Fil A really discriminates against the homosexual, or any in the LGBT rainbow, where are the lawsuits? Why has this company not been sued?
Of course the answer is that Chick Fil A does not discriminate against them, but we know that facts don’t matter to totalitarian thuggish activists.
And why is Chick Fil A in New York doing so well, when New York is full of liberals, but good liberals are supposed to avoid that place???
Not all liberals in New York. Just 90+ percent.

During Stalin's purges, when Beria executed somebody he would then send a bill to the family to pay for the bullets used in the execution.
Today the left is figuratively doing the same thing, running cake bakers out of business, then presenting to the owners a bill to force them to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to 'offended' gays for not getting their custom decorated cake with two grooms on top.
The left will continue to harass and persecute anyone and everyone, and it will never stop.
To add to that, I used to eat in NYC but the prices were just WAY out of hand. I mean in 2008 I bought a burger for $12.
It wasn’t that good. in 1999 I bought a half duck in the Diamond district for $4. I had my Maker’s Mark and a cigarette at Grand Central for $6. Now I can’t even get into a BLT at the Zocolo for under $8.
Screw that place. I took all the NYC business because I could raise my rates and still be at half my competitors who were actually setup in the city. I ran my company out of Connecticut.
It’s closed on Sunday. What did they expect?
Well crap... we will have even longer lines at CFAs across the country for the next few months.
