Diamond & Silk are two massively popular supporters of President Trump who reach their millions-strong audience through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Like a bunch of fourth-world bozos, Facebook silenced the two by blocking their millions of viewers from seeing their performances (it's actually a form of performance art) in their news feeds, even though presumably, those millions of viewers subscribed to the women's work precisely because they wanted to see it in their news feeds.
Then Facebook went really tinpot-creepy when the two uppity sisters had the temerity to ask them why they were silenced. With Olympian vagueness, Facebook told them they were "unsafe" to the community, and cited no examples. As for the banning, Facebook told them there was no appeal.
Now they've got a PR problem on the scale of United Airlines, and like United, they are caving.
How did it happen? With diamond-hard logic a top lawyer would envy, (Doesn't the woman who goes by the name 'Diamond' have the last name 'Hardaway'?) laid out for Fox News and Breitbart News the bad faith, false premises, outright illegal double standards, and capricious favoritism of the social media giant in its silencing of them, actions that at a minimum are a loud howl for Congressional regulation.

The leftists at facebook know they will not win the battle of public opinion. They won’t fight publicly for what they believe because they know they are wrong.

I believe it was senator Cruz that took Zuck to task over this today. Very effective.
After watching Ted Cruz talk to Zuckerberg today, I predicted Diamond and Silk would be reinstated. They are popular, harmless, and black. Normally a winning combo, but were obviously censored for being pro Trump.
Love those two. They would have made much a much better Pres and assistant (they can choose which) than Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch quota baby.

This is excellent news, that Facebook is backing down.
The real problem is that there are probably dozens (hundreds? thousands?) of other cases where the people involved are not as popular or well-known as D&S. I’ll bet there are a lot more people and groups who have been banned, but are not getting the publicity which will reinstate them.
The problem is that FB is a leftist dictatorship and users are at its mercy.
I agree. I'm proud of them too. I'd love to host a party or dinner for them. They are brave women, particularly because you just know they've taken a lot of grief from liberals in their daily lives.

And now Diamond and Silk for more free advertising and have likely INCREASED their viewership many ties over and people who had never heard of them now have.

In a statement to Fox News, a Facebook spokesperson said: “We have communicated directly with Diamond And Silk about this issue. The message they received last week was inaccurate and not reflective of the way we communicate with our community and the people who run Pages on our platform. We have provided them with more information about our policies and the tools that are applicable to their Page and look forward to the opportunity to speak with them.”
Oh, ralf. Diamond and Silk say they haven’t been reached out to, so it may be empty public relations, which will snowball their problem if they don’t follow through. But it’s obviously the start of some kind of cave.
I read to the end and D&S say facebook has not reached out to them, only said they will send more information on their policies. FB could be in big trouble.
This “shadow ban” was ridiculous.
It was amazing. Zuckerberg says FB doesn’t allow certain things and cited things that make people not feel safe, with nudity as an example
Subsequently Cruz cited D&S being banned for not being safe for FB.
