Trump rolled back Obama’s Internet rules, Net Neutrality issue, and everyone screamed WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE. My understanding is that Obama’s rule classified ISPs as a utility and therefore, regulated by FCC. Trump rolled it back to where ISP are considered a commodity.
My question is related to Zuck/FaceBook, Twitter, etc. Will Trump’s roll back of the rules enable action against FB, Twitter, etc. whereas under Obama’s rules, they would have been protected?
I have never understood why the Net Neutrally issue was taken on by Trump so early in his administration. Future proves past?
