Zuckerberg prepares another apology — this time to Congress
Associated Press ^ | Apr 9, 2018 7:04 PM EDT | Mary Clare Jalonick and Barbara Ortutay

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will apologize for his company’s role in a data privacy scandal and foreign interference in the 2016 elections when he appears before Congress this week, saying the social network “didn’t take a broad enough view of our responsibility,” according to prepared remarks released Monday.

Zuckerberg will appear before lawmakers on Tuesday and Wednesday to try to restore public trust in his company and stave off federal regulation that some lawmakers have floated. His company is under fire in the worst privacy crisis in its history after it was revealed that Cambridge Analytica, a data-mining firm affiliated with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, gathered personal information from 87 million users to try to influence elections.

In the testimony released by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which he is expected to deliver Wednesday, Zuckerberg apologizes for fake news, hate speech, a lack of data privacy and foreign interference in the 2016 elections on his platform.

“We didn’t take a broad enough view of our responsibility, and that was a big mistake,” he says in the remarks. “It was my mistake, and I’m sorry. I started Facebook, I run it, and I’m responsible for what happens here.” …

Facebook’s ‘Stoop & Scoop Routine’ Coming To Congress April 11; here’s what he really thinks of his users
Canada Free Press ^ | 04/05/18 | Judi McLeod / FR Posted by Sean_Anthony

This is what Zuckerberg thinks of his users:
“I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS (as of 2010). People submitted all of that to Facebook. They trust me. Dumb fucks”. (The Register, May 14, 2010)

NOTE Zuckerberg is coming as the Facebook CEO “testifies” before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on April 11.

I think he’ll be encouraged to leave facebook with a staggering severance. Then facebook will become a close(r) ally of the government.

Report: Facebook Donated to 46 of 55 Members on Committee that Will Question Zuckerberg
Breitbart ^ | 4/5/18 | Tony Lee / FR Posted on 4/6/2018, 10:30:33 PM by Revel

According to a USA Today analysis, members on this year’s House Energy and Commerce Committee have received roughly $381,000 in Facebook-related contributions since 2007 with the average Republican getting $6,800 and the average Democrat getting $6,750. The report was based on data from the Center for Responsive Politics.

Committee Chair Greg Walden (R-OR) reportedly received $27,000 while Ranking Member Frank Pallone (D-NY) got $7,000 in Facebook-related contributions. Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA), the Bay Area Democrat whose district is reportedly home to many Facebook executives and employees, got the most contributions, receiving $51,050 in the last decade.
Walden and Pallone announced on Wednesday that Zuckerberg will be testifying before Congress next week on “critical consumer data privacy issues.” ...

A Roll Call report also found that two Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee have Facebook investments. Rep. Joe Kennedy (D-MA) reportedly has at least $80,000 invested in Facebook while Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) has at least $15,000.

The genesis of Obama's Democrat data base. When candidate Obama looted Facebook of personal data for his campaign. Zuck was right there helping Obama take whatever he wanted.

===================================

Let's stroll down memory lane.

(hat tip edzo4) Zuck is ready willing and able to co-opt Trump. Zuck is being tasked by Obama.

ITEM---Circa 3/13/17 Zuckerberg referred to a dinner he and other Silicon Valley leaders had about a month ago.

ITEM---Here’s the news article edzo4 dug up
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/03/13/former-president-obama-visits-with-tech-leaders-in-silicon-valley/

ITEM---Back in 2011, it was not revealed who Obama met with during his visit to San Jose; as a private citizen, Obama is not obligated to say.

ITEM---Edzo4 found this photo of the dinner from the Mercury News
https://www.mercurynews.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/20110218_094437_obama_tech.jpg?w=700

ITEM---And edzo4 found this blog that names the attendees.

ATTENDEES: Obama, Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Eric Schmidt, Reed Hastings.

I’d like someone to ask him why he allows people I don’t know to follow me. Why would I want people I don’t know to be able to see the stuff I post. And why are all the names of the people I don’t know, who are following me, Asian or Middle Eastern sounding? Zuckerberg should also admit what he ‘partnered’ with Obama on, in regards to Facebook. Does anyone else remember seeing Zuckerberg with Obama and talking about how Facebook was going to help Obama, in some way? Pertinent questions.....I hope someone asks them tomorrow.

Why isnt Maxine Waters being subpoenaed? She blabbed about the “data base” Obama compiled containing intimate data on all of us that he intends to use in Democrat elections.
Waters knows a lot. She certainly has info WRT Facebook helping Obama compile very specific details about Americans Obama intends to use exclusively for Democrats.

The NYT reported in 2013: Obama suggested to his supporters: “Why not try sifting through my supporters’ Facebook pages in search of friends who might be on my campaign’s list of the most persuadable voters? Then my campaign could ask the self-identified supporters to bring their undecided friends along.”
The Facebook looting, as the Obamatons saw it, could also
<><> (A) get supporters to urge friends to register to vote,
<><> (B) get them to vote early,
<><> (C) get them to volunteer, and,
<><> (D) get them to donate to him.
(Source: 2013 NYT story about Obama’s reelection campaign).

The double standard is shocking: As the criticism of Trump escalates, you recognize that the ultra-liberal suck-up Zuckerberg uses F/B data as a political tool.

All of the F/B fallout magnifies the confession by a former Obama campaign parasite that they basically took whatever they wanted from Facebook, with Facebook’s blessing.

Say what? With F/B’s blessing? Isn’t this an in-kind campaign contribution. Was it reported to the FEC?

WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE Cambridge Analytica worked for the Trump campaign, and either stole, hacked, or through some other nefarious way mined personal information from 50 million Americans and used it to target ads on Facebook to people likely receptive to them.......activities that were lauded as leading edge stuff when Democrats did it.

WHERE WAS ZUCKERBERG when the Obama campaign used Facebook as a campaign tool?

Buying another used tee shirt?

"gathered personal information from 87 million users to try to influence elections"

I am still waiting to hear how much data Zuckerberg GAVE to Hillary and Obama, and why isn't everyone in Congress asking this? Is it time for the 12 ft of rope yet??
