A quote from one of the homeless:

“Why pay rent if you don’t have to?”

“located on a small patch of grass about half a block from the Space Needle.”

With all the junkies in the area, I’ll bet they’ve got needles out the wazoo!

I guess I missed the grass in that "patch of grass". It looks to me like it was built on a concrete sidewalk.

If: Progressive city.
Then: Present or future sh*thole.

It is a theorem, proving itself daily.

They cleaned up 5,500 lbs of human feces in down town San Francisco last month... thousands of used needles... tons of trash....

Used needles and human feces are found littering downtown San Francisco as infectious disease expert warns the area is becoming dirtier than some slums in India and Brazil

The problem is not the lack of beds. The homeless refuse to go live in the shelters and FOLLOW RULES and stop using drugs....

Seattle is possibly the west coast leader in homeless squatters. They promote it, including free long term parking of derelict RV’s

A LOT of the big fires last year in California were traced back to fires in homeless camps....

In the video he claims to rent out his “guest room” for $25/week or $10/night. I got my next vacation hotel booked!

They should just remodel the Space Needle into one of those ubiquitous 1cc disposable syringes favored by junkies, right down to the safety orange cap.

What are they gonna do? Give them free shelter and food in jail?

For various reasons, the system is broken and approaching a point where it is more comfortable for many people to live in jail than live “free” working like a dog at life-consuming stressful job.

What exactly is the punishment in jail? Cant go out? Cant see family or friends? Can’t travel? Most working people I know are already there...

My first trip there, and I kept seeing all of these little empty baggies on the sidewalk.

Turns out those are the containers for all of the heroin that is used by the homeless!

The needles are just as numerous.

There but for the Grace of God go I.

We've got a near all time low unemployment rate and companies, cities and states are now clamoring that there aren't enough workers to fill open jobs. Most homeless people today are homeless because they WANT to be. The woman pictured in that article looks like she could and should be working somewhere. This is ridiculous.
