Long time ago kids matured faster.
Now days? I wonder if some of them ever mature?
Some of them it takes till they are out of college at around 21 or 22 maybe even 25 because it’s taking longer to finish college and hit the “real world”.
Hang’em.
He looks like a muzzie. Both should be executed without delay.
The child was born when she was only fifteen. God rest his soul. It said he stammered when he was scared.
Mine shaved the cat once
If the mommy’s boyfriend killed the child with an AR15 all we would hear about would be gun control for “military style assault weapons”.
heartbreaking. Hes in the arms of Jesus now.
God bless his little heart. He looks like he is cowering in that photo. He’s in the arms of a loving God now.
Draw on each other.
Drop a softball down the sewer trap.
Cut their own hair.
Pee in bag of apricots you meant to dehydrate/can.
It's not just anecdotal:
Children living in households with unrelated adults are nearly 50 times as likely to die of inflicted injuries as children living with two biological parents, according to a study of Missouri data published in the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2005. Children living in stepfamilies or with single parents are at higher risk of physical or sexual assault than children living with two biological or adoptive parents, according to several studies co-authored by David Finkelhor, director of the University of New Hampshire's Crimes Against Children Research Center.
“Its called marriage. Two people make a commitment to God, and the community that they will be together, raise children, and be a true family.”
So true.
In the mid-70’s I knew a girl that got pregnant her senior year in HS
She and her boyfriend married.
The had one other kid. They stayed together and raised both children into solid adults.
When the kids were grown and on their own she got a divorce because her husband, while a good provider, wasn’t much of a husband or father. If he wasn’t working he was hunting, fishing or drinking with his buddies.
But they did stay together long enough to raise their children.
The sanctity 'of life' has ceased to be foremost in our society. Generations today have no clue what this is.....

In my day even the town kids were mature by the time they got out of HS.
The farm kids had matured before then.
We had to.
On the farm we had chores before we were old enough for school.
By the time we were 13 us guys were doing a mans job on the farm.
Even the town kids were expected to mow the lawn, clean the house or other adult type work.
No one had a free ride.
Now?
I know people in their late 20’s still living at home.
I’m pretty proud of my kids.
My daughter is 37.
She has worked since she was 16.
She is now a pharmacy tech going to night school to get her pharmacists diploma.
My twin boys both quit HS their senior year, took and passed their GED within a month and entered the workforce.
One works in construction and suffers the ups and downs of that profession.
The other works in a plant that makes conveyors and packing/stacking equipment. He is being cross trained on all the jobs/equipment in hopes he will be the plants floor supervisor in the near future.
Too many of their classmates are married and living off mom and dad, in prison or dead from drug and alcohol use.
Both my wives and I worked hard to instill a good work ethic and sense of responsibility in the kids.
Compared to their peers we didn’t do too bad.
“The sanctity ‘of life’ has ceased to be foremost in our society. Generations today have no clue what this is.....”
So true.
As a nation we have let those who come after us down in this respect.
The compact of Faith, Family, Nation has dissolved.
Faith
Faith in God and the Risen Christ was the one thing we all had in common. It was the glue that bound us together.
Though denominations might disagree on certain points, the common Faith of Father, Son and Holy Spirit was strong everywhere and was the strongest component in life.
Family
Through the teachings of the bible we knew the roles each of us was to play in the family structure.
As our Faith, as a nation, has waned the family structure has fallen apart.
It is to the point that families are supposedly interchangeable partners with the children never get the solid instruction they need.
Nation
Without Faith and Family no nation can long survive. Destroy Faith and Family and a nation stumbles down the road to ruin.
We failed to maintain the first two and doing so are losing the third.
Can we turn things around?
Only by rediscovering our common Faith and rebuilding the Family.
Hard job but doable.
They do that every once in a while in Dennis the Menace. A guest will be over. Dennis is looking at the back of her head and says, Mom, why did you say shes two-faced? She only has one! Or, hell observe the guest drinking from a glass. Whyd you guys say he has a drinking problem? Hes doing fine!
Jesus, this makes me tremble thinking of how scared that little kid was.
She had her first baby three months before her 18th birthday....
Kid I grew up with in Queens knocked up his 16-yr old girlfriend when he was 22. They both had names ending in a vowel. There was a shotgun wedding. He was unfocused and immature, she was a baby. They moved to Vermont and struggled at first.
Funny thing. He straighten up and eventually became a quality engineer. They loved and treasured their child, who, 35 years later adores them as do her siblings. And they are still married and in love, and two of the sweetest people people I know.
I agree....
