Its already been done. In a movie called Tomb Raider.

And the socialist-democrat socialist-justice-warriors destroy another film franchise with tbeir thinly veiled propaganda.
Goebbels and the NAZI party would stand in awe of what the far left socialist-democrats have pulled off in the US today.

They would cast a woman in a new story but it would be seen derivative. So instead they find a dead franchise and "reboot" it for the 21st century.
I would bet in the next 10 years we will see a Some Like It Hot reboot with two cross dressing women and a male heartthrob.

How about a male Wonder Woman?

No problem (very gracious of you) - I’ve done that here numerous times. Plus I suspect half of Free Republic was thinking the same thing!

Charlize Theron is the only woman who could do it.

Do you really want to challenge them to come up with something, which deals with the "problem," you identify?
Years ago--decades ago--a well known conservative writer, who is now deceased, suggested to me that it was no longer even possible to satirize the Left by exaggeration. The reality was more extreme than we could even keep up with.

I don’t have a lot of patience with films portraying women as warriors who can kick @$$ as well or better than men. To me, unless clearly a fantasy movie, the characters have to be remotely believable for it to be good. That is especially true for the Indiana Jones franchise because it was created with the backdrop of WWII and Nazis. Spielberg needs to leave his women’s equality lecture at home on this one or it will be a bigger flop than Hillary.

Framing the Raiders franchise with a woman will wring a few more dollars out of it for Spielberg. That’s his primary motivation. Second motivation is Hollywood virtue signaling.

How about “The Color Purple” played by someone like Jack Black?
Or “Thelma and Louise” played by Mr. Bean and Jim Carrey...oh never mind. This crap isn’t even fun while trying to poke those idiots in the eyes.

They did, they called it Tomb Raider with the heroine Lara Croft. No need to corrupt the character of Indy just for the sake of virtue signaling.

Back in the 80s video rental store days, there was an x-rated porno called Indiana Joan and the Black hole of Mogambo. The script was lame, no character development at all and the lighting was poor. So I heard."It had to be trouser snakes."
