I had a couple of MRI’s for my teeth. It only took a few minutes. I now pull in radio stations....

I think the doctors you have are really aliens that want to probe you if it takes them 45 minutes. Maybe they are grilling you for a snack later on.

The docs are looking for anything out of the ordinary.
Make sure the doc does not hold his thumb over the image. They might miss something.....

On the subject of your MRI...Only ever had one but it seems to me that the biggest concern should be over the use of that injection of a radioactive solution for image contrast. Particularly if you have any kidney issues...

I have never had any sort of radioactive solution used for an MRI.

CAT yes, MRI no.

I have had quite a few MRIs. I have Grave's Disease, which manifested itself in my eyes, so I have had to have my head MRI'd several times. I have also had back problems, and my back was MRI'd several times, along with my neck.

I have never cared much for the experience. I've only had the "closed" MRIs where you go into the tube. I have now had so many that I have developed claustrophobia whenever I am in one. For my last MRI, they gave me some sort of sedative to make it more bearable. If they had not done so, I would have probably reacted the way you did.

An MRI is actually safer then a CAT but a CAT is faster, cheaper and easier. Which is why they tend to opt for the CAT time is of essence but for the MRI if possible.

usually they check x ray before they do it. but carrying a card with this information or a medic alert bracelet could warn them.

Every year, and sometimes more.

Close your eyes. Breathe.

It’s noisy. But the results are magical.
