Vanity - Is PA-18th-CD election going to mirror the Texas Primary?

Posted on 03/10/2018 8:53:21 PM PST by JLAGRAYFOX

Is the PA-18th-CD election going to be like the Texas Primary race, a Republican political devastation of the Democrat. Pollsters are calling this a tight race that could go either way.

The Pollsters told us Texas was turning "Democrat Blue" in massive measure, but, in reality, after last weeks primary election, Texas is more "Red" then ever before. Pollsters wrong once again.

Has the POTUS, Trump crusade to PA-18-CD saved the day for the Republicans. Will Republican, Rick Saccone prevail. After the magnificent Trump presentation, in front of five thousand people, my money is on Rick Saccone by at least a five point percentage victory next Tuesday night.

I did watch the Joe Biden campaign effort for the Democrat, but, it was weak & nothing to write home about, and not many people attended the rally. We shall see within the next few days.

In my opinion, the dimmaKKKrat youngster is rather telegenic, whereas the pubbie is less telegenic. That being stated, I still think that the Trump Tariff on steel will nudge the republican to a victory. The voters will vote their economic situation.

No idea, but I did send Saccone $25 to help a wee bit.

It’s the job of media to terrorize, with polling data. Rick may be 8 points up. Ten points used to be a landslide victory. I’m sure Trump rallied enthusiasm in his base to get the vote out. I’ll remember Penn in my prayers.

Regardless, Trump was coming to PA. Trump will need Pennsylvania in several months, for gearing toward his own re-election in ‘20, and wants to stay close with his PA voters.

Don’t believe any poll GET OUT AND VOTE.

The dems have been winning local races (flipping red seats to blue) because we are staying home. I know Moore was a disaster but it was FREAKIN ALABAMA! Moore should have won, regardless. We stayed home BIG TIME.

This will be a real election, not a primary, so it will be a better indicator for the Fall elections.

Democrats doubled their turnout in the Texas primary election compared to the last mid-term primary(2014) - but they were all likely people who will vote Democratic and turnout for a general election anyway.

I am encouraged by the attention Trump has paid to this race, with the timing of the tariffs, and his rally. Makes it look like competent people are managing the fight.

Alabama’s loss was an anomaly. That Jones guy will be on a very short chain to the middle or get himself replaced. If AL “R’s” are smart they’re already recruiting.

Pennsylvanians will show up and be eager to do so, is my expectation and prayer.

“Alabama’s loss was an anomaly.”

There was a huge element of fratricide in that election, with many Republicans attacking and working against the Republican candidate.

That phenomena seems to have subsided - virtually disappeared.

Maybe it was getting rid of Bannon, but likely it was just unifying around success, especially the tax cut.

So you believe the divisiveness among the R’s has subsided? That is really good news, Bo. Brannon did not comport himself well there. You may be correct on the possibility of the Bannon effect. Poor schlub, even when he is smart, right and passionate about it, he had an odd candidate.

I don’t know how it will play out but there are several things against Saccone:

1. Lamb is young, an ex-marine I think, and campaigning like a Republican
2. Dems have poured MILLIONS into this race.
3. Lamb has the media, people say they can’t turn on tv w/o a Lamb ad
4. Saccone’s not a great candidate, stale GOP

All that said, I pray Saccone pulls it out. Trump’s right, no Dem will ever vote with him/us.

No matter what Democrat, Conon Lamb utters, he is locked up in the pocket of Nancy Pelosi if he wins next Tuesday. Any voter, including every “labor union” voter in the PA 18th CD that casts their vote for Lamb, is “politically slicing” their own throats.

Just remember, Clinton, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, wanted no coal, no steel, no aluminum, no oil drilling, no auto factories, no manufacturing....they killed your jobs and your families.

Who said they would save you and bring back your jobs. POTUS, Donald J. Trump, and he has kept his word on every item or action he promised while campaigning. Voting for Conon Lamb makes you both a fool, loser and idiot at the same time....Folks, you gotta get real!!

If you are counting on “Faux” Conon Lamb and “Buffoon”, “Uncle” Joe Biden to save you, yoru jobs, your families, and stand up for you, you are either smoking too much reefer or, you are simply insane. Vote for Republican, Rick Saccone on election day, this coming Tuesday!!!

“So you believe the divisiveness among the R’s has subsided?”

Except for a few outliers, like Flake and McCain, it sure seems like it has subsided, and the Party is much more unified.

I have not been hearing any more divisiveness from Leadership (McConnell and Ryan) like there was against Judge Roy Moore.

The Primary will be the proof. Divisive primaries hurt candidates going into the general election. We will see. It is still a long way from November politically, a lot will change by then.

I read that this Lamb guy is playing Republican for suckers, pretending to be this Conservative Military guy, that is why the race is so close!

As I drive around PA-18, I see MANY, MANY more yard signs for Lamb.

Someone else commented that Lamb is more telegenic. He is - in fact he looks and speaks like he ought to be the president of the Young Republicans at a small college. In contrast, Saccone looks and speaks like a combination of a ward heeler and a union thug.

I have read several articles in the past few days that stated that Saccone is lazy, a poor fundraiser and doesn’t live up to commitments he (or his staff) has made. (Didn’t show up for a scheduled door knocking in a neighorhood in Carnegie, where 27 households were looking forward to meeting him and discussing his ideas.) He also provided no excuse for his non-appearance.

Combine this with his arrogant statement, “I was Trump before there was a Trump” - what an entitled jerk.

PA-18 is a district that not only has been solidly Republican for the past 15 years, Tim Murphy, the hypocritical “pro-lifer” whose resignation caused this mess, ran unopposed in 2016.

We MUST pick better candidates than this sorry sack of ****, Rick Saccone!!! He shouldn’t need all the outside help he is getting from the PACS, President Trump, Vice-President Pence and the RNC. President Trump is right, though. Lamb will NEVER vote to advance this administration’s policies.

I will vote for Saccone on Tuesday for only one reason - keeping the House majority Republican because I could not live with myself if, by staying home and not voting, smug Auntie Maxine’s exhortations to “Peach 45” became reality.

However, IF Saccone survives this special election, I will not vote for him again in November. Do you hear me, RNC???

You may have Saccone pegged right on, and maybe be not so much. Yes, Lamb may be a pretty boy and Saccone may be the cut of a rough and tumble dude. But...I have learned in my growing old age to never judge a book simply by its cover.

I must tell you that I have read every negative story about Rick Saccone that I could get my eyes on in the Democrat, left-wing, rag sheets and pundit preaching. However I researched Saccone’s rap sheet and it is quite impressive if you are objective and fair. Twenty-two years in the USA Air Force, both sons now serving actively in the Air Force, long time intelligence officer, expert on North Korea, public servant in the Pennsylvania legislature for many years, etc.

Yes, I admit he is not the most gifted speaker...but, Obama was a magnificent speaker, but he was the worst, weak, America Hating, POTUS ever and a blood brother by decree to Louis Farrakhan & the Rev. Jerimiah Wright!!!

Also...you should try to listen to the speech that Joe Biden gave for this lightweight Conon Lamb at a very lightly attended political rally of “Union” thugs. Not one new idea, not one new agenda of new items...not one. These are the folks led by Obama, GW Bush, Bill Clinton that sold out all the labor union jobs and sent them out of our country.

My point, sir, is that we (Trump) need Saccones vote...all the time. and, that, at the end of the day is what counts. I can assure you that Nancy Pelosi will dictate to Lamb exactly how he will vote, and it will not be with POTUS, Trump. I admit, Saccone is not the so called pretty boy, with the smooth tongue...but he is a 100% reliable vote for POTUS, Donald J. Trump!!!

Hey...many thanks & much appreciation, for your upcoming vote for Rick Saccone. You certainly grasp & get the big picture!!!

Of course. He is pretending to be against gun control. You would have to be dumb as a libtard to not understand he would be in Pelosi’s hip pocket.
