Right...I didn’t have one big enough to get a woodchuck. I have tried all kinds of things to drive it off, even borrowed a trap and got a skunk instead which was a real pain.

I hit the woodchuck square on the butt, but I think they have so much blubber, it didn’t even twitch. (Using 3/8” ball bearing)

"“Had enough?”"

This is just one of the reasons I always have a Ruger 380 in my pocket and often a S&W .38 on the seat next to me.

Had enough.....shhhhh.

“At 70 my mind says yes I can but the link to my once capable body has been hacked and overtaken by age.”

I always say, “But my eyes are those of an 18 year old”. ;)

Those are good brands and good choices for a warm climate. I noticed that there are some nice looking lighter 380s out there now as compared to decades ago.

Been thinking about looking at some shoulder rigs for travel in areas that include the more anal policies like shakedowns for anything that’s not on an ankle. I’m kinda weird that way. [Not really. ;-) ]

It’s a consideration from training habits a long time ago—training that was forgotten with the passing of good personal security trainers. Other ways of carrying are good, too, depending on circumstances (especially pocket holsters for those enjoying the subtropical heat).

I remind myself that not all others who drive impolitely, run their mouths or demonstrate like coyotes will try to attack. Let those idiots kill each other on the roads later on. I’ll see it in the news while relaxing.

"Also, I am not affiliated with them in any way but anyone with a CC should also consider spending $30/mo to be a member of USCCA if for no other reason than having a lawyer provided quickly with up to a million dollars in paid legal fees in case you ever have to use your weapon. I find great peace of mind nowing I have it."

USCCA is good. CCW Safe is also good. Some people have insurance offered through the NRA and also insurance with one of those two companies for wider coverage and/or more coverage.

"So did they catch the guy or what?"

Apparently not. He might go on to kill the next victim. That's another reason for self-defense preparations.
