He may get a chance to play in Vince McMahon’s revived XFL, but I can’t see any NFL team taking a chance on him.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported on Wednesday that Manziel is willing to accept no guaranteed money from an NFL team and also work his way up from the practice squad

In the first place, Manziel can't go on a practice squad because he has too much time on a regular season roster. And in the second place, I though he'd signed with a Canadian team?

Some people’s brains aren’t completely wired up until they hit 25. Most likely the case in his situation, he finally realizes what a moron he was.

He is finished in football. His dad should give him a job and tell him to keep his nose clean if he wants to keep it.

Well, some of us believe in the possibility of redemption. Here’s hoping someone gives him a chance — perhaps At league minimum salary.

So many people want to blame their alcoholism on being bipolar

As Varney was saying on FOX this morning, speaking of Tiger Woods increasing improvement, that “Americans like seeing a ‘come back’ story. When they see one developing they will watch!”.

I have known a couple of guys over the years(I’m 63) that are perfectly fine people when they are sober. BUT get a little alcohol in their system and they become raging monsters.

One guy I used to work with would come in on Mondays with black eyes and bruises because he would get drunk and then challenge everyone in the bar to a fight in the parking lot. Got his ass whupped so many times he was finally banned from most of the bars in town...............

The Canadian team wanted him to sign a 2 year deal and he only wanted to sign a one year deal. From Manziel’s POV, the NFL was going to come calling once they saw what he could do, so that’s why he was only willing to do 1 year. There was 0 movement on the contract length from either side, so no contract...

Maybe...maybe not. If he can show in Spring football that he can chuck the rock 40 yards with some zip, some team will sign him as a 4th QB camp arm. It will be up to him to compete and show the league he has something to offer during camp/preseason time.

Kind of dumb on his part. It's going to take more than a single season to convince teams he's changed.
