The NCAA has ordered Notre Dame to vacate its football wins from the 2012 and 2013 seasons after denying the school’s appeal of sanctions tied to academic misconduct.
The Irish won 12 games in 2012 before losing to Alabama in the BCS championship game and went 9–4 in 2013.

Sports are crashing like a stock that has no earnings and got a dividend cut. I think as a nation we are ready to move on from pc infested sports.
Americans should hike, golf, ride bikes, swim and be their own athletes, instead of watching them on TV.

What has the Irish steamed about this is that scrubbing those wins knocks ND from 2nd on the All-Time college football victories list (behind Michigan) to 6th and that they view their infractions as far inferior to the North Carolina basketball scandal which the NCAA totally Hillaried.
The Irish are so unhappy that they are considering dropping out of the NCAA and bringing some other schools with them for a renegade football conference that is not confined to NCAA rules.
Sounds far-fetched, but you could just see USC, Texas, Oklahoma and others forming a network that could seriously threaten the validity of any NCAA football chanpionships.
Their is a good chance this will occur. Participation at the high school level is falling,I coach high school Freshman football 4 years ago our squad had 48 players which was about the average over the 29 years I coached. This year we had 28 all our opponents had under 30 players.
The communists at the NCAA want to get rid of any semblance of religion and no matter how much ND moves to the left, it still won’t be enough.
Now Clemson, there is a team worthy (and continues to be).
Would football be the only college sport not in the NCAA.
Or are these colleges pulling out of the NCAA and putting all of their college teams under this new umbrella organization?
The problem will come when insurance companies will no longer insure football programs.
You’re lucky that the NCAA is basically run by the SEC, otherwise Alabama would have gotten the USC treatment a long time ago.
