#1 You did a static discharge.
Companies like Dell and HP when the caller says they cannot start the laptop have customers pull the battery and power cord then hold the power button down for over a minute to drain the capacitors on the motherboard which act like little storage batteries. Plug back cord and battery and the pc starts right up.

Fix for electronics is shutdown, restart, pull the battery.
Cars have many computers so what you did may be a fix for all electronic hiccups for cars.

#14 I have one myself and use the BlueDriver app and OBD device which costs $99. It told me my car would pass the smog test and when I had it done it did pass : )

I also use another OBD device similiar to this https://tinyurl.com/y8accjsu and use a free app called Torque.
Mine uses bluetooth connection.

Be careful about Waze hana. That is one VERY intrusive app.

I was thinkking the same thing on my issue.

“Gee, I wonder how many Richard head techs know about this and charge some outrageous number for the fix?”

To be fair $300 or less seems reasonable any way....

To both program a new remote or a new chip encoded key on my old My Mazda 6 there are similar procedures that the Dealer does not want you to know about. “Turn key to accessories position, open and close door twice, scratch your ass, push lock button on remote” Voila’ welcome to you new working remote. Might have gotten one of the steps wrong. But you get the picture.

I have no idea why it worked

It's called "rebooting" and it is a first choice before replacing hardware or software.

Had people asking me about it every time I drove it, met lots of nice folks.”

That’s the fun part, everyone asks about the car. I got mine in pretty rough condition and have finally got it running and driving well. But people still say “beautiful car” even though it has some missing trim and dents.

“Think of all the time, energy, and materials are wasted. “

Driving my Bel Air is as much an economic decision as a hobby. I can still get all the parts and it is built like a rock. I eat it on gas but make up for it on no depreciation (appreciation) and ease of repair. I have a whole spreadsheet on it.

I slightly misspoke: I haven’t had any problems whatever with the air suspension, I was merely inquiring for interest’s sake. Now the COPs and injectors (the car sat for a year) are another thing, but I have a handle on that.

I noticed the front sitting low one morning after it sat totally idle for 6 months, but as soon as it was started it all levelled out and has had the correct stance for 2 weeks now.

Chevy Volt fast review.
I liked it. It gets 35 miles on the battery that you can charge right at your house the way my relative does. $800 for a charging station installed. You cannot get stranded because the gasoline engine kicks in after the battery runs down. It costs lots less per mile to run on electric. Maybe 1/3 the gasoline price per mile.

Their Volt has a moisture problem build up inside the car. All windows got covered with moisture, at least when I visited during the winter weather. I don’t know if this is a common problem.

Your suspension is always active unless you turn it off.

If you are going to leave your VIII parked, turn the suspension off.
