Galia Wolloch, president of Israeli womens rights organization Naamat, slammed the singer for his extreme behavior. How is it her business? Religious Jewish men believe that they should not look at immodestly clothed women lest they be tempted to commit a sin. It is also a sin for women to not dress modestly. If you are immodest, and arouse someone to commit a sin (adultery, etc), then you are considered spiritually culpable to some degree.

He still sees them in his mind’s eye.

It’s possible “scantily-clad” women would be visible to someone driving by.

Thank you for sharing that. I was unaware such a vow existed.
Likewise, it was only on FR that I learned that it’s better to use the form “G-d” rather than spelling the full word, for some.
This is a good site for things like that.

In that instance, it’s incidental to life. I drive by billboards with strippers on them every day. I don’t go to the clubs they advertise.
The distinction is standing there and staring. It’s disrespectful to your wife and leads one into trouble.

We have crappy SJWs in Israel, too.
Pretty sure they are the same busybodies everywhere. Their agenda is not women; it’s the subjugation of men, especially religious ones.

I have been to many Orthodox weddings, especially in the nexus of Orthodoxy in the U.S., Brooklyn. I have NEVER seen any musician cover his eyes while the women are dancing. In my opinion, that is adding to the edict of not staring in a lustful manner at women, and adding to an edict is also forbidden. The only women even remotely not clothed according to Orthodox standards (long sleeves, high necklines, hems below the knee, non-clingy, completely opaque) are colleagues of the bride or groom from work who may not even be Jewish or who are non-observant (but still joyfully invited to the event) and the waitresses. The waitresses's sleeves might be short sleeves, but the rest of their outfits in these kosher catering halls are certainly modest. Even though the Orthodox female guests are modestly clothed, their attire is still extremely fashionable---no shapeless bags adorn these women.
I think this singer is taking things to an extreme, to an extent not called for in the Torah.

My eyes adored you though I never laid a hand on you
My eyes adored you like a million miles away from me
You couldn’t see how I adored you
So close, so close and yet so far

Thank you for the insight.
I don’t know why but I have always been attracted to redheaded Jewesses. Can I say that?
I think they’re totally hot, so your photo is relevant to my interests.
