This makes no sense to me, I’ve read the bible and there isn’t a sequel.There is that small matter of the time between the Resurrection and the Ascension. Not to mention Acts. If they just covered that and the period between Pentecost and Saul's conversion on the road to Damascus that could be a great movie.

2 options:
1) after the crucifixion, when they discover on Sunday morning that HE HAS RISEN and then his many appearances to his ascension.
2) Christ’s return from the Book of Revelation.
That would be my guess.
