You and I are simpatico. I saw it and cried nearly the entire length. My body was tired afterwards, and what the Pope said about it at the time seemed spot on to me. “It is as it was”.

The anti-Mel Gibson stuff during and after, I thought was the result of the attacks. When he went off on a clearly Oriental police officer, asking him if he were Jewish, I saw that as a drunken man making a joke. Of course he wasn’t Jewish, but Mel had been besieged for so long, and pickled in his drink of choice, just make a bad joke. I don’t know how else it fits with the narrative, but I am often wrong.

Nothing is cooler than what really happened.

Well, zombies are part of what happened

I doubt they looked or acted like “zombies”.

I’m sure that, just as the Lord healed people instantly, those that rose from their graves didn’t look anything but normal and healthy.

Speculation on your part. The KJV says: "bodies of the saints" which doesn't suggest they were full of animated life.

Not sure— an honest and convincing portrayal of the truth in the Gospels -would- be shocking to most audiences these days I think.

"Well, zombies are part of what happened "

I know what you refer to, and you are an idiot to say such a thing with regards to people coming to life at Jesus' death and also His resurrection.

These were quite simply exclamatory acts that highlights God's power over life and death. Your attempt at mockery = FAIL.

Doesn’t say corrupted bodies of the saints.

A “stiff” is just that, stiff. Any movement would require: freedom of movement, which means: everything working.

They arose from graves. The graveyard was not in the city. They went into the “holy city” and appeared to many. I doubt they would have gotten past the gatekeepers looking like lepers or worse. If spotted, they would have been pelted with rocks until they left town.

Rotting and stinking Lazarus was raised from the dead. I willing to bet that even his grave clothes didn’t smell bad when the Lord said “loose him, and let him go”.

God doesn’t do stuff halfway right.

**Went to a conference on the Shroud.**

I’m guessing that they addressed the separate napkin that was about Jesus’ head. (John 20:6,7)

I assume he was “bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin”, just like Lazarus (John 11:44).

Lazarus managed to “come forth” in his linen bound condition, but was apparently still bound enough for the Lord to order him loosed from his grave clothes.

Not swearing the shroud to be a fake, but people were not stupid 1900 years ago. A mortician making it with the aid of a dead man’s corpse, well..... Not me, I’d never do it.

>>When they called his work a “snuff film,”

Tell them that Titanic was a snuff film. The entire time the audience is waiting to see the boat sink and many passengers snuff it.

Passion made $1 Billion.

That made a lot of Jewish Hollywood directors eat crow.
Historically, having Jewish producers make Christian movies is like, bad idea.

Having Christian Mel make a Christian movie, with Mel’s profound vision, is stunning. All the Jews could do is attack him, while he earned a Billion big ones.

Well it certainly is a fantastic story! But you would think an event that spectacular would have made it into the other Gospels. I mean it would have been impossible to miss a horde of the risen dead milling about Jerusalem.

Anyway, here's hoping Mel puts it in the movie.

No voodoo drugs involved, so no, zombies were not part of the Resurrection of Christ.

I'm sure that writers write for the audience they have.
